摘要: A zirconia sintered body having gradation is provided. A method for preparing a zirconia composition comprises preparing a plurality of powders for lamination; the lamination powders containing zirconia, a stabilizer(s) suppressing phase transition of zirconia and a pigment(s) at respective different pigment content ratios, and laminating the lamination powders in a mold. In the laminating step, the mold is vibrated after at least two lamination powders are charged into the mold.

摘要: Bulk iron nitride can be synthesized from iron nitride powder by spark plasma sintering. The iron nitride can be spark plasma sintered at a temperature of less than 600° C. and a pressure of less than 600 MPa, with 400 MPa or less most often being sufficient. High pressure SPS can consolidate dense iron nitrides at a lower temperature to avoid decomposition. The higher pressure and lower temperature of spark discharge sintering avoids decomposition and limits grain growth, enabling enhanced magnetic properties. The method can further comprise synthesis of nanocrystalline iron nitride powders using two-step reactive milling prior to high-pressure spark discharge sintering.

摘要: The present invention provides a piezoelectric material not containing lead and potassium, showing satisfactory insulation and piezoelectricity, and having a high Curie temperature. The invention relates to a piezoelectric material includes a main component containing a perovskite-type metal oxide represented by Formula (1): (NaxBa1-y)(NbyTi1-y)O3 (wherein, 0.80≤x≤0.94 and 0.83≤y≤0.94), and an additive component containing at least one element selected from Mn and Ni, wherein the content of the Ni is 0 mol or more and 0.05 mol or less based on 1 mol of the perovskite-type metal oxide, and the content of the Mn is 0 mol or more and 0.005 mol or less based on 1 mol of the perovskite-type metal oxide.

摘要: Isopipes (13) for making glass sheets using a fusion process are provided. The isopipes are made from alumina materials which have low levels of the elements of group IVB of the periodic chart, i.e., Ti, Zr, and Hf, as well as low levels of Sn. In this way, the alumina isopipes can be used with glasses that contain tin (e.g., as a fining agent or as the result of the use of tin electrodes for electrical heating of molten glass) without generating unacceptable levels of tin-containing defects in the glass sheets, specifically, at the sheets' fusion lines. The alumina isopipes disclosed herein are especially beneficial when used with tin-containing glasses that exhibit low tin solubility, e.g., glasses that have (RO+R2O)/Al2O3 ratios between 0.9 and 1.1, where, in mole percent on an oxide basis, (RO+R2O) is the sum of the concentrations of the glass' alkaline earth and alkali metal oxides and Al2O3 is the glass' alumina concentration.

The present invention is a dielectric ceramic composition comprising, a main component comprising a perovskite type compound shown by a compositional formula (Ba1-x-ySrxCay)m(Ti1-zZrz)O3, a first sub component comprising oxides of a rare earth element, a second sub component as a sintering agent, wherein said dielectric ceramic composition is a complete solid solution particle wherein the rare earth element is solid dissolved to entire dielectric particle, or a core-shell particle having high ratio of the diffusion phase, and comprises the dielectric particle having 5 to 20 atom % of the average concentration of the rare earth element in the diffusion phase, and having uniform concentration distribution of the rare earth element in the diffusion phase.

摘要: To provide a dense beta-alumina-based sintered compact having a high ionic conductivity as a solid electrolyte by firing at a low temperature to suppress the volatilization of Na2O and its production method.By adding RNbO3 which is a material having a low melting point to a beta-alumina powder, followed by firing, it is possible to obtain a beta-alumina-based sintered compact having a low firing temperature and containing, as the main component, dense β″ alumina crystals which are free from anomalous grain growth during the firing process.

摘要: A ferrite composition is provided containing Ba, Co, and Ir and having a Z-type hexaferrite phase and a Y-type hexaferrite phase. The ferrite composition has the formula Ba3Co(2-x)IrxFe(24-2x)O41 where x=0.05-0.20. The composition has equal or substantially equal values of permeability and permittivity while retaining low magnetic and dielectric loss factors. The composition is suitable for ultrahigh frequency applications such as high frequency and microwave antennas.

摘要: A transparent sintered body having fewer air bubble-derived defects is provided. More specifically, a method is provided of producing a ceramic molded product including at least a step of pressure-molding ceramic granules having a Hausner ratio, which is a quotient obtained by dividing a tapped bulk density by a loose bulk density, of 1.0 or more but not more than 1.2. Also provided is a method of producing a transparent sintered body including at least each of the steps of the above method to obtain a ceramic molded product and a step of heating and sintering the resulting ceramic molded product. The transparent sintered body has a linear transmittance of 78% or more at a wavelength of 600 nm to 2000 nm inclusive except for an element-derived characteristic absorption wavelength.
