In one example, the method comprises varying a maximum permitted compressor outlet temperature based upon a function of compressor outlet temperature and operating time, and controlling the operation of the compressor so that the maximum permitted compressor outlet temperature is not exceeded. In this way a higher boost pressure can safely be used during the early life of the compressor but excessive coking of the compressor with a resultant loss of efficiency later in the life of the compressor is reduced.

    摘要: The invention relates to a method and a regulating arrangement (10) for heating the cab (21) of a motor vehicle with a diesel engine (16). In this case, in the event of a start in a cold environment, a heating program is carried out in order to heat the cab (21) more rapidly, if the temperature of the diesel engine (16), measured by a temperature sensor (15), is below a predetermined limit value. In this heating program, the supply of air to the diesel engine is reduced via the throttle valve (13), in order to set a currently predetermined intake pressure. If the driver demands a higher acceleration of the vehicle by actuating the accelerator pedal, throttling can be temporarily canceled. When the engine temperature has exceeded a second limit value, the heating program is terminated and the engine control (10) returns to normal operation. In order to assist the heating phase, in addition, the exhaust-gas recirculation valve (17) may be closed and electrical consumers switched on.

    摘要: In an intake control system for a general-purpose engine, comprising: a motor which is attached to a first side wall, supporting one end portion of a valve shaft of a throttle valve, of a throttle body, and which drives the throttle valve to be opened and closed; a sensor unit which is attached to a second side wall supporting the other end portion of the valve shaft, and which detects an opening degree of the throttle valve; a fuel injection valve which is attached to a third side wall integrally connecting upper end portions of the first and second side walls to each other, and through which a fuel is injected into the intake path at a position downstream of the throttle valve; and an electronic control unit which is attached to a fourth side wall facing the third side wall, the electronic control unit is connected to the motor, the fuel injection valve and the sensor unit with first, second and third conducting wires, respectively. Accordingly, it is possible to allow significant shortening of wires, which electrically connect intake control elements to each other, by completing the wiring only around the throttle body.
