摘要: A piston is described for the compression of a pneumatic fluid in a compression chamber of a cylinder comprising:
a cylindrically shaped piston body, adapted to be arranged slidably within said cylinder, and having a side wall and a top wall; along a circumferential perimeter of said side wall of the piston body a seat being defined; and
a sealing assembly accommodated in said seat, and adapted to ensure the fluid-tightness along said circumferential perimeter;
the sealing assembly comprising a plurality of sealing elements, having shapes complementary to one another, and configured so that the wear of a sealing element along said circumferential perimeter corresponds to a sliding in the radially outer direction of the adjacent sealing element.-

摘要: A long sleeve cartridge for being inserted into a fluid end block of a pump is disclosed. The long sleeve cartridge includes a body and a sleeve bore extending through the body. The sleeve bore includes a first inner diameter and a second inner diameter. The first inner diameter is less than the second inner diameter. A first aperture is located on the body, and a second aperture is located on the body in a radial position substantially diametrically opposite of the first aperture. A packing seal assembly is secured within the long sleeve cartridge. The packing seal assembly includes one or more seals and a biasing mechanism to provide a compression force on the seals. The packing seal assembly is arranged within the second inner diameter when the packing seal assembly is disposed within the long sleeve cartridge.

摘要: A combined pump-injector valve system utilizing a monolithic body to provide the barrel of the pump and as the stator of the valve, thus eliminating any need for connections between a pump and a valve, and therefore the potential for high-pressure leaks or pressure reductions. The combined pump-injector valve permits injection of nanoliter-sized samples into a chromatographic column, which is sealed during loading of the sample and filling of the pump, such that complete analyses can be completed with microliters of mobile phase with nanoliters of a sample. The pump-injector valve system further includes a pressure sensor external the barrel of the pump and may include an interim position intermediate loading and injection where the contents of the barrel may be pressurized to a desired pressure.

A fluid can flow into the compression chamber via the inlet valve, and the fluid can flow out of the compression chamber via the outlet valve. A region in the form of a channel, which is arranged fluidically upstream of the outlet valve, in particular directly upstream of the outlet valve, has a cross-section which is reduced compared to a compression chamber region at a distance from the outlet valve. The invention is characterized in that a piston end face facing the channel has a region which can be immersed into the channel.

摘要: An electric submersible pumping system for use in pumping fluids from a wellbore includes a motor, a pump driven by the motor, and a fluid expansion module connected to the motor. The fluid expansion module includes a piston seal housing and a piston assembly contained within the piston seal housing. The piston assembly includes a piston body having an exterior surface, a plurality of seals connected to the exterior surface of the piston body and a pressure equalization system. The pressure equalization system reduces a pressure differential between fluid in an annular space between the plurality of seals and fluid surrounding the first piston assembly.

The piston rod cap includes an annular top portion that has an outer diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the cylindrical stem, an annular bottom portion that has an outer diameter that is larger than the outer diameter of the cylindrical stem, and an exterior recess located between the annular top and bottom portions. The recess has an outer diameter that is smaller than the outer diameters of the annular top and bottom portions.

摘要: A mechanical seal of the cartridge type for a cryogenic pump. A stationary subassembly attaches to a pump casing, the stationary subassembly running against the flat surface of a rotary subassembly to thereby provide a sealing face. The stationary subassembly defines an inner seal cavity and further comprises a gland and a packing plate attached to the gland, the packing plate having a front face and back face, wherein the back face is angled to be non-parallel with the front face such that ice and moisture from the cryogenic pump is directed away from the inner seal cavity. A shroud over the drive ring for sealing disposition against the shaft shields ice and moisture ingress into the inner seal cavity. Lock wire holes defined within the collar screw and drive collar allow a lock wire to prevent loosening of the collar screw to prevent sparking.

A digital electronic circuit monitors pump operation, limiting pistons course by sensors (8), and allows interface with the operator and with a computer.

The assembly includes a seal ring having a bore through which the plunger can extend, a front axial end, and a rear axial end. An O-ring is positioned on the seal ring. A packing ring has a bore through which the plunger can extend, a front axial end abutting the rear axial end of the seal ring, and a rear axial end. A non-metal packing follower has a bore through which the plunger can extend, a front axial end abutting the rear axial end of the packing ring, and a rear axial end. The non-metal packing follower can be ceramic (e.g., carbide) or similar hard, wear-resistant materials.
