    摘要: A digital clock device includes data storage units and produces switching signals in response to the data stored in accordance with predetermined functions, such as time of day and lapse of time. Switching signals responsive to quantities not related to time can also be produced. Data being stored is displayed as it is being entered into the device. In a disclosed embodiment, the device is used for the control of an electric range. Start of cooking time and duration of cooking for the oven and the individual heating plates can be controlled. Programmed control of oven temperature is also possible.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a programmable control module that may be connected to existing instrumentation in order to automate manual operations and/or perform new sequences of functions. As one specific example, the present invention provides for a programmable control module that may be connected to a commercial cell washing machine, and which directs the automatic performance of steps required to enzymatically deantigenize erythrocytes. There are a number of advantages associated with the present invention. Valuable non-automated or semi-automated instruments may be rendered programmable by an add-on control module, thereby increasing the reproduciblity of function while reducing manpower requirements and avoiding the consequences of human error. Furthermore, the control module may be additionally connected to auxiliary devices which improve the function of the host instrument, including, for example, pumps, valves, or sensors (including safety monitoring devices).

The SCM has at least thirty-two input/output (I/O) channels. Because the SCM used in the industrial control circuit has at least thirty-two I/O channels, the industrial control circuit can synchronously deal with sixteen-bit bidirectional communication.

    摘要: A digital position signal generator suitable for gain control and other purposes. A typical embodiment includes a rotary disk notionally divided into a plurality of sectors of the same angle about the disk axis. Some of the disk sectors have radial extensions which are detectable by photocouplers. The photocouplers are fixedly disposed about the disk axis with angular spacings each greater than the angle of each disk sector. Thus, with the rotation of the disk, the photocouplers produce binary zero and one outputs in various predetermined combinations nonsequentially representing successive predetermined angular positions of the disk. A position data generator circuit such as a microcomputer is provided which has stored thereon meaningful position data sequentially representing the successive predetermined angular positions of the disk. Inputting each output combination of the detectors, the position data generator circuit puts out a corresponding one of the meaningful position data. Several other embodiments are disclosed.

    摘要: An endless manual control for use in automation systems, such as automated recording consoles, which controls levels and other parameters of audio, video and other signals, by generating, storing, sending and receiving electronic control signals. The control's internal circuitry translates control movements into electronic signals describing the control's movements. These electronic signals, including external electronic signals which are inputed during certain modes of operation, are fed into a circuit for updating the circuit's memory of control levels. When either the minimum or maximum control level extreme is reached, the circuitry triggers a mechanism to stop the manual rotation of the control in the direction which had or would have caused that control level extreme to be reached.
