    摘要: An optical fiber feeding mechanism of a scrap collector includes a lower roller and an upper roller for advancing an optical fiber scrap cut out by an optical fiber cutter into a scrap receptacle, and further includes a roller holding member. In a state in which the lower roller and the upper roller are not actuated, the roller holding member forms a clearance enough to keep the lower roller and the upper roller from holding an optical fiber therebetween. After the optical fiber cutter cuts the optical fiber, the roller holding member lowers the upper roller toward the lower roller in accordance with the rotation of the upper roller so that the optical fiber may be held by and between the lower roller and the upper roller.

    摘要: The present invention concerns a paper sheet cutting apparatus which cuts the front end portion opposite to the fold, where both the leading edge and trailing edge get together by center folding, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the paper sheet cutting apparatus. The sheet cutting apparatus includes a conveying device for conveying a booklet; a stopping device for stopping the booklet at a predetermined position; a cutting device for cutting the front end portion of the booklet; and a controlling section to control each of the conveying device, the stopping device and the cutting device. The controlling section controls the stopping device so as to variably determine a stopping position of the booklet stopped by the stopping device, based on a number of sheets included in the booklet conveyed to the cutting device by the conveying device.

    摘要: An apparatus for punching out pockets in a roller cage for rollers is provided with two simultaneously movable male dies whose outer cutting edges in the circumferential direction are spaced apart from one another by at least about 0.4 times the cage diameter. These male dies are preferably operative from the interior of the cage and each punches slightly more than half the pocket width. By indexing the cage by one pocket division each time, the pockets are punched out completely. In each punching increment, they receive the runup face for the roller over their entire length, which runup face need not be further machined. The method involves punching out a portion of the roller cage forming a first pocket through use of one of the dies, indexing the roller cage so that the just punched portion of the roller cage is advanced to a position between the two male dies, punching out a portion of a second pocket with the same die, and then indexing the roller cage to a position where the other die is able to punch out the remaining portion of the first pocket.

    摘要: An improved tank configuration wherein a die is employed to stamp a formed member is disclosed. The formed member may be used as either the top or bottom head for a portable liquid container, and is constructed so that all welding is eliminated in the corner and outlet portions of the container. A trim machine is employed to remove uneven edges from the formed part. By the present invention, a stamped configuration is provided in which a draw formed tank bottom is formed so as to allow complete and full drainage of the tank bottom. The top and bottom heads are finish trimmed to exact dimensions so as to facilitate the assembly of these parts to the shell of the tank.

    摘要: A punch press which has an X-Y guidance system for moving the workpiece relative to the workstation also includes means for rotating the workpiece on the worktable upon release of the workpiece from the X-Y guidance system. In this fashion, the workpiece may be rotated into a reoriented position and then reclamped in that position within the X-Y guidance system. This press includes a tool mounting means on the head of the press and means for effecting reciprocal motion of the tool mounting means along a vertical axis and rotation of the tool mounting means about that axis. Generally, the press will also include a die assembly in the base which includes at least a portion which is rotatable about the same vertical axis so that the workpiece when gripped therebetween may be freely rotated in a fixed clamped position to effect the desired reorientation. The tool mounting means may comprise the punch mounting mechanism, or the stripper mounting mechanism, and the entire lower portion of the ram assembly may be rotatable, or only the stripper assembly.
