    摘要: There is provided a process for preparing polyelectrolytes by a water-in-oil emulsion process. A water-in-oil azeotropic emulsion is heated with agitation and a concentrated aqueous solution of small amounts of a polymerization initiator and gel inhibitor and at least one water-soluble vinyl monomer adapted to polymerize at reflux temperature with a concomitant loss of water by azeotropic distillation is added thereto to polymerize said water-soluble monomer.The polymerized product including a gel inhibitor forms a gel-free aqueous solution.

    摘要: A process for producing a partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide which has a high molecular weight and high water solubility and can be suitably used as a flocculant for water treatment and a size for paper manufacture comprising polymerizing an aqueous solution of an acrylamide monomer in the presence of an alkali metal hydroxide such as sodium hydroxide and boric acid, whereby a partial hydrolysis of the polymer formed is also conducted substantially simultaneously with the polymerization. In an additional embodiment, a maturing of the polyacrylamide produced can be conducted by continuing to heat the polymer solution to increase the hydrolysis percentage.

    摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a practical ophthalmic lens which has an effect of effectively retaining and sustainedly releasing a drug and has form stability before and after release of the drug, wherein the ionic polymer gel having sustained drug releasability can regulate the amount of the drug included therein, depending on the efficacy of the drug used, and storing solution for a practical ophthalmic lens.The present invention relates to a drug delivery ophthalmic lens comprising a cationic group-containing drug in the inside of a copolymer consisting of a hydrophilic monomer having a hydroxyl group in its molecule, at least one member selected from specific phosphate group-containing methacrylates a monomer having a nitrogen atom in its side chain, and a monomer copolymerizable with these components, and also relates to a drug delivery ophthalmic lens comprising an anionic group-containing drug in the inside of a copolymer consisting of a hydrophilic monomer, cationic and anionic monomers, and a monomer copolymerizable with these components, wherein the copolymer contains the anionic monomer in a ratio of 30 to 90 mol % to the cationic monomer, and also relates to storing solution for a practical ophthalmic lens.

    摘要: Anaerobically curable compositions comprising: (a) a polymerizable monomer having a functional group represented by the general formula: H2C=C(R)− (wherein R is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group) at a terminal of its molecule; (b) an organic peroxide; (c) o-benzoic sulfimide; and (d) a salt selected from the group consisting of sodium salts, potassium salts and calcium salts of weakly acidic substances, have a high curing rate and high bonding strength despite of having high storage stability. In particular, the composition can rapidly bond even adherends such as inactive metals and plastics, with which conventional anaerobically curable compositions are hardly cured.
