摘要: A method for estimating the ageing of an exhaust gas sensor (16) placed in an exhaust line (14) of a diesel internal combustion engine (10) of an industrial vehicle (1) includes: —acquiring (S100) an initial value of an estimated remaining lifetime (50) of the exhaust gas sensor; —measuring (S102) the time spent by the engine in each of several predefined engine operation modes during a predefined time period; —for each of the engine operation modes, calculating (S104) a lifetime loss value depending on the time spent by the engine in said engine operation mode during the predefined time period and on a predefined ageing rate associated to said engine operation mode; —updating (S106) the estimated remaining lifetime value by subtracting each calculated lifetime loss value from the initial value.

摘要: In a method for estimating water content of exhaust gas, a first gas concentration at a first position in an exhaust passage, a second gas concentration at a second position downstream of the first position, and a gas temperature at the second position are obtained. A saturated water vapor at the gas temperature is calculated as a water content at the second position. By using the water content at the second position and the second gas concentration, an excess air amount of a fuel-air mixture supplied to a combustion apparatus is calculated based on a chemical reaction formula of combustion of the mixture. By using the excess air amount and the first gas concentration, a water content at the first position is estimated.

摘要: A method for an engine employing an after-treatment (AT) system with an AT device for treating an engine exhaust gas includes detecting an actual concentration of a pollutant in the exhaust gas upstream of the AT device. The method additionally includes treating the exhaust gas via the AT device and directing the treated gas to an exhaust gas passage. The method also includes recirculating a portion of the treated exhaust gas from the exhaust gas passage to the engine's intake passage and determining efficiency of the AT device, after recirculating the portion of the treated exhaust gas, using the detected actual pollutant concentration. Furthermore, the method includes maintaining operation of the AT system when the determined AT device efficiency is at or above a predetermined value and activating a sensory signal indicative of the AT device having malfunctioned when the determined AT device efficiency is below the predetermined value.

摘要: An engine control device of a vehicle engine includes a processor that detects an operation state of the engine and controls an output of a heater which heats an intake air oxygen concentration sensor detecting oxygen concentration of intake air of the engine. The intake air includes a portion of exhaust gas recirculated to an intake passage of the engine as EGR gas. The processor controls the output of the heater, according to a detected operation state of the engine, so that the intake air oxygen concentration sensor enters one of (i) an active state where a temperature of the intake air oxygen concentration sensor becomes greater than or equal to an activation temperature, (ii) a semi-active state where the sensor temperature is lower than the activation temperature and higher than an inactivation temperature, and (iii) an inactive state where the sensor temperature is lower than the inactivation temperature.
