摘要: In a method for determining the passing time of a moving transponder passing a detection antenna of a base station, a sequence of first signals are exchanged between a first transponder coil and the detection antenna, and a sequence of second signals are exchanged between a second transponder coil and the detection coil. The first and/or second signals are associated with time instances indicating the time when the first and/or second signals are exchanged between the transponder and the base station. The passing time of said transponder is determined on the basis of the signal strengths of the first and second signals and the time instances.

摘要: The present invention provides a method of determining an electrical operating time of a circuit breaker (140) in a multiphase electrical system having a subsystem (160) at an electric potential resulting from electrical characteristics of electrical components within the subsystem. The method comprises monitoring (145) the voltage of the subsystem in the first phase, determining a first rate of change from the monitored voltage in the first phase, detecting at least one instance of switching based on the first rate of change, determining an electrical operating time of the circuit breaker based on the detected at least one instance of switching and an instance at which a command for switching was provided to the circuit breaker.

摘要: A time-to-voltage converter (TVC) including a 555 timer integrated circuit (IC), and a charging circuit including a constant current source and a capacitor connected in series. The capacitor can be connected to a discharge pin of the 555 timer IC. The TVC can further include a trigger circuit and a reset circuit to receive a start signal and a stop signal, respectively, from an input line, and accordingly generate a trigger signal or a reset signal to trigger or reset the 555 timer IC. A switch can be configured to, under control of an output signal of the 555 timer IC, connect the input line with the reset circuit. A voltage across the capacitor when the 555 timer IC is reset indicates a time interval corresponding to the start and stop signals.

摘要: A reading circuit for a charge-retention circuit stage is provided with a storage capacitor coupled between a first biasing terminal and a floating node, and a discharge element coupled between the floating node and a reference terminal. The reading circuit further has an operational amplifier having a first input terminal that is coupled to the floating node and receives a reading voltage, a second input terminal receives a reference voltage, and an output terminal on which it supplies an output voltage, the value of which is a function of the comparison between the reading voltage and the reference voltage and indicative of a residual charge in the storage capacitor. A shifting stage shifts the value of the reading voltage of the floating node, before the comparison is made between the reading voltage and the reference voltage for supplying the output voltage.

摘要: According to an embodiment, a time reference device is provided. In the embodiment, the time reference device, includes a corrodible element, wherein a corrosion of the corrodible element advances with advancing time, and a sensor configured for providing a sensor signal, the sensor signal depending on a physical property of the corrodible element; wherein the physical property of the corrodible element changes with a corrosion of the corrodible element and the physical property of the corrodible element is at least one of an electrical property, a magnetic property, and an optical property. A barrier may be provided for defining a permeability for a corrosive substance to the corrodible element.
