摘要: One embodiment includes a catheter apparatus, including an elongated deflectable element including a distal end, a coupler connected to the distal end, a pusher including a distal portion, and configured to be advanced and retracted through the deflectable element, a nose connector connected to the distal portion, and including a distal receptacle having an inner surface and a distal facing opening, and an expandable assembly including flexible polymer circuit strips, each strip including electrodes disposed thereon, the strips being disposed circumferentially around the distal portion of the pusher, with first ends of the strips being connected to the coupler and second ends of the strips including respective hinges entering the distal facing opening and connected to the inner surface of the distal receptacle, the strips being configured to bow radially outward when the pusher is retracted expanding the expandable assembly from a collapsed form to an expanded form.

摘要: An animated electrophysiology map is generated from a plurality of data points, each including measured electrophysiology information, location information, and timing information. The electrophysiology and location information can be used to generate the electrophysiology map, such as a local activation time, peak-to-peak voltage, or fractionation map. Animated timing markers can be superimposed upon the electrophysiology map using the electrophysiology, location, and timing information. For example a series of frames can be displayed sequentially, each including a static image of the electrophysiology map at a point in time and timing markers corresponding to the state or position of an activation wavefront at the point in time superimposed thereon. The visibility or opacity of the timing markers can be adjusted from frame to frame, dependent upon a distance between the timing marker and the activation wavefront, to give the illusion that the timing markers are moving along the electrophysiology map.

摘要: A modular multi-electrode structure for use with an electrophysiology device includes a plurality of interconnected, non-conductive, tubular substrates. Each non-conductive, tubular substrate includes an outer surface and a conductor disposed on the outer surface, as well as at least one signal conductor extending along a length of the interconnected plurality of non-conductive tubular substrates. The conductor disposed on the outer surface of each non-conductive tubular substrate is in electrical communication with the at least one signal conductor. In some embodiments, the plurality of non-conductive tubular substrates includes a plurality of non-conductive polymeric substrates. In alternative embodiments, the plurality of non-conductive tubular substrates includes a plurality of non-conductive, unitary molded cylinders.

摘要: A medical probe includes a flexible spline assembly coupled to a distal end of an elongated shaft and including spline conductors. The spline conductors are electrically coupled to each other at a common distal termination, and each spline conductor extends proximally in an arcuate shape. The medical probe includes elongated conductors extending through the elongated shaft and being electrically coupled to a respective spline conductor. A computational system is configured to provide an output to a plurality of radiators to thereby generate alternating magnetic fields, measure electrical signals across pairs of spline conductors induced by the alternating magnetic fiels, and calculate a position and an orientation of an ellipsoid volume encompassed by the spline conductors based on the electrical signals.

摘要: Methods, apparatus, and systems for medical procedures are disclosed herein for receiving an input of a plurality of measured coordinates of a respective plurality of position transducers of a probe inside a body of a subject, receiving a measured voltage measurement output by the probe, determining a cost function based on a model of known mechanical properties of the probe compared to the measured coordinates with respect to shapes that can be assumed by the probe in the body and further based on an expected voltage value compared to the measured voltage measurement, selecting a shape based on the cost function, generating corrected coordinates of the points along the probe based on the shape and displaying a representation of the probe using the corrected coordinates.

At least two conductors are positioned on the probe at the distal end. The apparatus includes at least two flexible conductive splines, each conductive spline having a first termination and a second termination, the first terminations being electrically connected together at a region on the probe axis beyond the distal end, each second termination being electrically connected to a respective one of the conductors, the splines being configured to bend into respective arcuate forms that encompass a volume. The apparatus also includes a processor configured to receive voltages induced on the splines via the conductors and to calculate a position and orientation of the volume in response to the received voltages.
