摘要: A system for production of water and salt is disclosed. The system includes a power source, a solar still, a brine collector, an atmospheric water generator and a plasma treatment chamber. The solar still includes a saltwater inlet, a brine outlet, a humid air outlet, and at least one transparent window for directing solar radiation into the solar still and heating incoming saltwater. The brine collector receives brine from the solar still and performs a drying process to produce salt. The atmospheric water generator includes a humid air inlet connected to the humid air outlet of the solar still and is configured to generate freshwater which is directed to a plasma treatment chamber for production of plasma activated water. The solar still may include a flow management structure of multiple transparent layers for increased efficiency. The multiple transparent layers may be inclined and formed of a synthetic polymer.

摘要: Disclosed are an aerogel with a hierarchical pore structure formed using a pulsed laser technology, and a preparation method and use thereof. In the preparation method, a nano silicon-containing inorganic material as a freezing element, a biomass polymer as a cross-linking agent, and deionized water as a solvent are mixed and a resulting mixture is left to stand and gelatinized to obtain a hydrogel; the hydrogel is frozen to form ice crystals therein, and the ice crystals are removed by freeze-drying to obtain a micron-nano porous aerogel; the micron-nano porous aerogel is subjected to customized millimeter-scale punching using a pulsed laser to obtain an aerogel with a millimeter-micron-nano hierarchical pore structure.

摘要: A high-efficiency solar multi-layer evaporative seawater desalination device includes a transparent housing. In the device, wedge-shaped recesses are formed on an outer wall of the transparent housing; during seawater desalination, seawater is injected into evaporation trays and sunlight is irradiated on the evaporation trays through the transparent housing; the transparent housing is made of a transparent plastic material, such that sunlight can directly enter the transparent housing and increase a temperature therein to speed up the evaporation; the wedge-shaped recesses are on a shady surface; during desalination, seawater in the evaporation trays absorbs heat and evaporates to form water vapor, such that there is a given temperature difference between the water vapor and the outside; and a lower part of the wedge-shaped recess can serve as a condensation surface, the water vapor condenses on the transparent housing or at the wedge-shaped recess.

摘要: Disclosed are a preparation method, a product and an application of a hydrophobically modified membrane based on multi-effect thermal energy conversion, the preparation method includes the steps: S1. dispersing carbon nanotubes with surfaces carboxylated in a solvent to form a dispersion; S2. applying the dispersion evenly on a PVDF membrane, and drying to form a ready-to-use membrane; S3. performing thermo-mechanical pressure treatment of the ready-to-use membrane to form a functional membrane with strong robustness; and S4. placing the functional membrane with strong robustness in an alkane solution of PDMS containing a silane coupling agent, and then taking it out for drying.

摘要: A water purification system utilizes an ionomer membrane and mild vacuum to draw water from source water through the membrane. A water source may be salt water or a contaminated water source. The water drawn through the membrane passes across the condenser chamber to a condenser surface where it is condensed into purified water. The condenser surface may be metal or any other suitable surface and may be flat or pleated. In addition, the condenser surface may be maintained at a lower temperature than the water on the water source side of the membrane. The ionomer membrane may be configured in a cartridge, a pleated or flat plate configuration. A latent heat loop may be configured to carry the latent heat of vaporization from the condenser back to the water source side of the ionomer membrane. The source water may be heated by a solar water heater.

摘要: A solar thermal based water treatment system and a process for treating impure/industrial wastewater is disclosed. The solar thermal based water treatment system vaporizes impure/wastewater using incident solar radiations in a third unit with only air as a medium. The system has a fourth unit and a fifth unit for condensing water vapor and obtaining purified water in the form of condensate. The system also includes an eighth unit for drying the sludge or slurry using dry air for obtaining dry solid waste. The system may also include one or more digital controls and communication systems for remote and/or automatic control.
