摘要： An aqueous dispersion of an embodiment includes visible-light responsive photocatalytic composite microparticles containing tungsten oxide and zirconium oxide, and an aqueous dispersion medium in which the photocatalytic composite microparticles are dispersed. In the photocatalytic composite microparticles, a ratio of a mass of the zirconium oxide to a mass of the tungsten oxide is in a range of from 0.05% to 200%, and a D50 particle size in particle size distribution is in a range of from 20 nm to 10 μm. The aqueous dispersion has pH in a range of from 1 to 9.

摘要： There is provided an improved process for the biosynthetic production of indigo, the improvement comprising removing unwanted by-products such as isatin or indirubin from the broth in which such indigo is produced. Isatin can be removed by enzymatic activity using an isatin-removing enzyme such as an isatin hydrolase, or by other techniques such as process parameters (elevated temperature, pH), or by contacting the broth containing the isatin with appropriate adsorption compounds/compositions such as carbon or appropriate resins. Since isatin is the precursor of indirubin, the indirubin levels are decreased as a result of isatin removal.

摘要： Indigo dyed cotton yarn suitable for producing indigo dyed cotton knitwear, and method of producing it, comprising passing a cotton rope consisting of a plurality of yarn threads through a plurality of baths of indigo dyed liquor, allowing the dye to oxidize by exposure to air between each bath, and winding each of the said yarn thread separately to provide an indigo dyed yarn in a form suitable for knitting. The threads are wound onto individual spools, which may be rotated on a common shaft, or by individual motors. The indigo-dyed knitted cotton fabric produced shows the fading by abrasion, rather than washing out, normally associated with denim.
