Abstract:
A fishing rod that includes an elongated, tapered rod blank at least a portion of which is quadrilateral in cross section, the quadrilateral portion of the rod blank diminishing in cross- sectional area toward a tip end of the rod blank, the quadrilateral portion of the rod blank comprising a sandwich-structured composite of a core disposed between facings, the core less dense than the facings, the quadrilateral portion of rod blank less stiff in a casting direction than transverse to the casting direction; fishing line guides mounted at intervals along the length of the rod blank; a reel seat mounted at the base end of the rod blank; and a handle mounted at the base end of the rod blank adjacent to the reel seat.
Abstract:
An apparatus and method is described herein for applying labels to containers. The apparatus includes a guidance mechanism configured to provide a path for receiving a plurality of labels (21) having a back surface (21c) with a fluid activatable adhesive (21d) that is non-tacky until activated, an adhesive activation station (54) aligned with at least a portion of the guidance mechanism and configured to apply to the back surface of said labels a fluid (19) to activate said adhesive along said back surface of said labels, and a label application station (24) configured to apply at least one of said labels with said activated adhesive onto an exterior surface of a corresponding container (20) located on a rotatable platform (22). The guidance mechanism includes at least one rotatable transfer member (50) having a plurality of pallets (52). Each of the pallets includes multiple openings for communication of suction to enable at least one of the pallets to receive and releasably secure a front of the labels onto at least one pallet, and one or more rollers (502) connected to each of the pallets by one or more tunable complaint members (508). The label application station includes a servo motor configured to drive a linear speed and a rotational direction of the platform.
Abstract:
An adhesive application device for applying an adhesive to a material which is moved along a transport direction x, comprising a nozzle unit with a number of nozzles for applying the adhesive to the material, is to be capable in a very simple way of processing adhesive patterns of different size particularly flexibly and efficiently. To this end, the nozzle unit is arranged such that it can be displaced along a first guiding axis transversely with respect to the transport direction x.
Abstract:
Abstract:
The present disclosure describes a taping tool for taping gaps, seams, and/or joints between wallboard members that includes a simplified tape advance/actuation assembly. The taping tool has an elongate body portion with first and second ends, and a connected head portion that directs dispensed tape toward a joint between wallboard members. The tape advance/actuation assembly has a control member forming part of the tool's elongate body portion and a tape engagement member housed by the tool's head portion. The tape engagement member moves in substantial unison with and in response to movement of the control member. The tape engagement member engages or disengages the tape depending at least in part on the position and/or direction of movement of the control member. The extent of the engagement between the tape engagement member and the tape may be adjusted though manipulation of a single fastener.
Abstract:
A tattoo applicator for applying temporary tattoos to a subject, the tattoo applicator including a handheld housing and a sponge moveably supported by the housing to moisten the temporary tattoo and to apply pressure to the temporary tattoo. In some examples, the housing defines a retaining slot for receiving a tattoo-forming sheet. In some examples, the tattoo applicator includes a timer. In some examples, the tattoo applicator includes a push rod and a tattoo mount supported by the housing, the tattoo mount defining a port through which the push rod extends. In some examples, the tattoo applicator includes a fluid reservoir mounted to the housing.
Abstract:
An apparatus is provided for binding a single printed sheet with top and bottom binders to form a single sheet calendar. The apparatus includes a binder feeding mechanism for positioning the top and bottom binders relative to the single printed sheet. The apparatus includes first and second spaced, parallel binding units for respectively securing the top and bottom binders to the single sheet, with the first binding unit having an upper member and a lower member to define a sheet-receiving channel there between. At least one of the upper member or the lower member is heated, and at least one of the upper member or the lower member is controllably movable relative to the other of the upper member or the lower member, to secure one of the binders to the single sheet.
Abstract:
A drywall trim application device that can hold a large role of drywall flex corner trim material and, as the material is being dispensed, pre-crease or form the material for use on an inside or outside corner, or any angle within the range of the trim material, apply a mastic material (drywall mud, adhesive or any other bonding medium) to the flex trim material, and cut the material at any desired length automatically. Measurements may be either input by hand or down loaded from an electronic measurement tool into this device. This invention can generally store multiple measurements such as length and angles, measure the length of flex trim material as it is dispensed from the device, crease the material, apply predetermined amount of mastic, and automatically cut the flex trim material to each length previously input.
Abstract:
