摘要: A method for pressure bonding metal members by utilizing eutectic reaction comprising the steps of bringing two metal members of dissimilar metals to be bonded into contact with each other under a predetermined contacting pressure P.sub.1 lower than the plastic deformation pressures of the metals of the two members and heating the contacting surfaces of the two members to a temperature lower than melting point temperatures of the metals and not lower than the eutectic temperature thereof to produce a liquid of eutectic composition by eutectic reaction between the surfaces of the two members to be bonded, applying an upset pressure P.sub.2 higher than the contacting pressure P.sub.1 to the surfaces to be bonded to squeeze out the liquid from the contacting surfaces of the two members to outside, and cooling the bonded surfaces of the two members. When the members to be joined by pressure bonding are of the same metal, an insert comprising an element undergoing eutectic reaction with the metal of the two members is interposed between the surfaces of the two members to be bonded.

摘要: A method of metallizing ceramics in which, on a desired surface of a ceramic containing a silicon compound, a manganese-containing metal layer substantially free from any minute gaps with respect to the surface of the ceramics is formed, whereupon the resultant structure is heated to a temperature lower than the melting point of manganese to cause the reaction between manganese atoms and the silicon compound. As a method for forming the metal layer, there is a method wherein a deposited film is formed by vacuum-evaporating or sputtering manganese metal or a manganese alloy or a method wherein a melt of a manganese-copper, manganese-nickel or manganese-titanium alloy is formed on the surface of the ceramic under the application of a pressure. The metallizing method can be conducted at a lower temperature and in a shorter period of time compared with a conventional metallizing method.

摘要: A rechargeable battery pack attachable to a power tool includes a display element, a remaining capacity detection device, a remaining capacity display control device, an abnormality detection device, and an abnormality display control device. The display element is provided such that a lighted state thereof can be confirmed from outside. The remaining capacity detection device detects a remaining capacity of a rechargeable battery. The remaining capacity display control device displays the remaining capacity detected by the remaining capacity detection device by controlling the lighted state of the display element. The abnormality detection device detects an abnormality of the rechargeable battery. The abnormality display control device displays the abnormality of the rechargeable battery detected by the abnormality detection device by controlling the lighted state of the display element to an abnormality display state, which is different from a remaining capacity display state controlled by the remaining capacity display control device.

摘要: In a load port apparatus, a door driving mechanism that supports a door through a communication opening portion leading to a mini-environment is housed in a housing chamber that is in communication with the mini-environment through the communication opening portion. Exhaust opening portions are provided in the upper portion of a wall of the housing chamber that is opposed to the communication opening portion and a bottom wall of the housing chamber. Thus, gas passages from the mini-environment to the housing chamber and then to the external space are formed. Thus, dust in the load port apparatus is removed.
