    Abstract: Even though a pump head part is finally fixed to a pump body with a fixing member, the pump head part is movable relative to the pump body perpendicular to the axial direction of a plunger at a stage before the pump head part is fixed with the fixing member. In this state, if a plunger driving part is moved to a predetermined location on the front end side of the pump body and the pump head part and the plunger driving part are fitted to each other, the pump head part is positioned where the center axis of the plunger and the center axis of the pump chamber are substantially aligned. By fixing the pump head part to the pump body with the fixing member at this location, it is possible to assemble a plunger pump with the center axis of the plunger and the center axis substantially aligned.

    Abstract: A check valve is provided with a rectilinear flow passage having a liquid inlet and a liquid outlet and allowing a liquid to flow therethrough in one direction, and a first valve body, a first valve seat, a second valve body, and a second valve seat are provided in the rectilinear flow passage. A first drive body is provided in the rectilinear flow passage at a position closer to the liquid inlet than the first valve body so as to be movable in one direction. The first drive body is driven in one direction by the drive mechanism. The drive mechanism is adapted to set the first drive body either to an open state in which the first drive body presses the first valve body toward the liquid outlet side to detach the first valve body from the first valve seat or to a closure state in which the first drive body does not press the first valve body toward the liquid outlet but allows the first valve body to be seated on the first valve seat. A second drive body is provided in the rectilinear flow passage at a position between the first valve body and the second valve body so as to be movable in one direction. When the first drive is set to the open state, the second drive body is pressed by the first valve body toward the liquid outlet to press the second valve body toward the liquid outlet, thereby detaching the second valve body from the second valve seat, and when the first drive body is set to the closure state, the second drive body is moved away from the second valve body to allow the second valve body to be seated on the second valve seat.

    Abstract: A liquid sending failure detector acquires periodically a liquid sending pressure of a liquid sending mechanism consecutively sends liquid using at least one plunger pump that sends liquid by reciprocally driving a plunger such that a fluctuation is read in one driving period of the liquid sending mechanism, and detect a liquid sending failure of the liquid sending mechanism using an acquired liquid sending pressure. The liquid sending failure detector executes a pulsation detection step of obtaining a fluctuation range of the liquid sending pressure in a certain driving period of the liquid sending mechanism and detecting pulsation on a condition that a count of consecutive periods in which the fluctuation range exceeds a predetermined reference value exceeds a predetermined reference count, and a liquid sending failure detection step of detecting a liquid sending failure of the liquid sending mechanism when the pulsation is detected in the pulsation detection step.

    Abstract: A switching valve is used in a binary pump. The switching valve is provided with a first liquid delivery port to which a first pump unit is connected, a second liquid delivery port to which a second pump unit is connected, and an output port leading to an output unit that outputs a liquid to be delivered. The switching valve is configured so as to be switched to any one of the following states: a first state in which the first liquid delivery port is connected to the output port and the second liquid delivery port is not connected to any port; a second state in which the second liquid delivery port is connected to the output port and the first liquid delivery port is not connected to any port; and a third state in which both the first liquid delivery port and the second liquid delivery port are connected to the output port.

    Abstract: A plunger seal is mounted on the pump head, has a through hole for allowing penetration of the plunger, and holds the outer circumferential surface of the plunger and also seals an opening of the pump chamber A backup ring is mounted on the pump head by being interposed between the plunger seal and the tip end surface of the pump body. The backup ring has a through hole, for allowing penetration of the plunger, formed in a manner not allowing the plunger seal to enter a gap to the outer circumferential surface of the plunger, and also has a liquid passage element for allowing the cleaning liquid in the cleaning space to reach the plunger seal through the through hole.

    Abstract: A liquid feeding device includes a primary plunger pump; a secondary plunger pump connected downstream; a check valve provided between the primary plunger pump and the secondary plunger pump; a primary pressure sensor that detects a pressure in the pump chamber of the primary plunger pump; a liquid feeding control part configured to control operations of the primary plunger pump and the secondary plunger pump; and a liquid leakage detector configured to detect liquid leakage in the check valve based on a change in an output value of the primary pressure sensor during the waiting time. The liquid feeding control part is configured to control the operation of the primary plunger pump so that a waiting time, where the primary plunger pump stops without operating, is present while a discharge operation by the secondary plunger pump is performed after a suction by the primary plunger pump is completed.
