Abstract:
An assembly (1) for a tire comprises a first structure (10), a second structure (12) and bearing cord elements. The assembly comprises a gimped securing element (18) comprising a core (18a) around which a gimp yarn (18b) is wound. The core (18a) exhibits an elongation at rupture Arupture_core and the gimp yarn (18b) exhibits an elongation at rupture Arupture_gimp such that: Arupture_core A1=h/(E+e1+e2) in which h is the conformation height of the assembly, e1 is the thickness of the first structure (10), e2 is the thickness of the second structure (12), and E is the lock length.
Abstract:
A bicycle wheel including a hub and a rim coupled to the hub. The wheel also includes a cover that is coupled to rim and that defines a bead seat engageable by a tire. The rim can have a first annular feature and the cover can have a second annular feature that is complementary to the first annular feature to attach the cover to the rim.
Abstract:
An omnidirectional wheel including a rim with at least one plate member and a means of attaching the wheel to a vehicle; a plurality of rollers comprising at least two toroidal rows of rollers disposed around the rim for mounting a tire; and a means of actuating the tire around its axis, defined, for example, by the never-ending torus axial member of the tire, whereby, when the wheel is engaging the ground, the tire rolling on the rim causes a side movement of the wheel, parallel to the wheel axis, in a plan orthogonal to the normal plan of rotation of the wheel when attached to the vehicle. A tire having a never-ending torus axial member, a helical bearing member, and a resilient toroidal shape is also provided.
Abstract:
An agricultural tool used to form furrows includes a generally cylindrical support and a plurality of tires. Each tire comprises includes a sole by way of which the tire is mounted on the support, a tread opposite the sole and two sidewalls that connect the tread to the sole. The sole, the tread and the sidewalls jointly form a deformable casing. The tread of at least one of the plurality of tires has a generally domed shape. The sidewalls of this tire are generally inclined radially. The domed shape of the tread and the inclination of the sidewalls are such that the deformation of the casing urges the sole axially outward.

Abstract:
A tire configured from joining together plural tire frame members formed from a thermoplastic material in which sufficient strength of the joint portion is secured. Two tire halves 17A formed from a first thermoplastic material are supported by a tire supporting section 40 so as to be aligned with each other and abutting, while rotating this configuration melted welding thermoplastic material 43 is extruded from a nozzle 46 towards the joining location, and the welding thermoplastic material 43 is pressed by a flattening roller 48. The one tire half 17A and the other tire half 17A are thereby welded together with the welding thermoplastic material 43.
Abstract:
A tire for the wheel of a cycle, such as a bicycle, as well as a wheel equipped with such a tire, the tire having a substantially toroidal geometry and including a mounting base adapted to be fixed to a rim that is wider than the tire, when inflated, a tread adapted to be in contact with the ground, and two sidewalls connecting the mounting base to the tread. The tire is provided, between each sidewall and the tread, with a spoiler for retaining a closed loop air circulation, whereby aerodynamic resistance is reduced.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a bicycle tube tire comprising a tubular casing (2) closed in an annular manner, a rubber tread (4), an air sealing means (1) and a webbing (3). To fix the bicycle tube tire onto the rim simply and quickly, the webbing (3) is made of a fabric comprising reinforcement carriers extending at least in the circumferential direction of the tire and made of a material which contracts when dampened with water or an aqueous solution and subsequently dried.
Abstract:
An exclusively designed bicycle tire with features that eliminates the need for an inner tube. The new description from a normal bicycle tire is the Interfacing material, which excludes the need for an inner tube.
Abstract:
A wheel assembly (10) having self-contained tire mounting and demounting capabilities includes a closed torus tire (18) mountable on a wheel rim (11). The tire (18) is forced onto the wheel rim (11) by a plurality of retainers (25) which are driven into a plurality of mating slots (13) in the wheel rim by bolts (31). Similarly, the tire is forced off of the rim by screwing the bolts through threaded apertures in the retainers and against the wheel rim. Thus, the tire can be demounted from the wheel rim and that tire or another tire can be mounted on the wheel rim without removing the wheel rim from the vehicle.
