The invention relates to a metallic reinforcing cord (10) for tyres for vehicle wheels, comprising from two to ten metallic wires (11) twisted together with a twisting pitch (P) and each having a predetermined diameter. In at least some cross sections of the metallic reinforcing cord (10), at least two of said metallic wires (11) are arranged to a minimum mutual distance greater than, or equal to, 2.5 times the predetermined diameter.

Provided are: a tire steel cord having not only excellent cutting resistance and corrosion resistance but also excellent processability in plant; and a pneumatic tire including the same. The tire steel cord has a layer-twisted structure including: a core 11 composed of two core filaments 1; and a sheath 12 composed of eight sheath filaments 2 that are twisted together around the core 11, in which tire steel cord the two core filaments 1 constituting the core 11 are twisted together, the twisting direction of the core filaments 1 and that of the sheath filaments 2 are different, and a diameter (Dc) of the core filaments 1 and a diameter (Ds) of the sheath filaments 2 satisfy a relationship represented by the following Equation (1): 0.90≤Ds/Dc≤1.10 (1).

Provided is a steel cord for reinforcing a rubber article in which both the rubber penetrability (rust prevention), and the cord strength and shear resistance are highly achieved. Provided is a steel cord for reinforcing a rubber article including: one core strand 11 having a layered-twisted structure formed by twisting a plurality of steel filaments 1; and a plurality of sheath strands 12 having a layered-twisted structure formed by twisting a plurality of steel filaments 2, wherein the sheath strands are twisted around the core strand. An average value Lc of an amount of clearance between outermost layer sheath filaments constituting an outermost layer sheath of the core strand is from 0.073 to 0.130 mm, and the number of the outermost layer sheath filaments is from 7 to 10.

Disclosed is a steel wire rope for conveyor belts. The steel wire rope includes a central steel wire, a steel wire layer externally wound on the central steel wire, and a plurality of external steel wire strands. Each external steel wire strand includes a core steel wire and N external steel wires. The central steel wire, the steel wire layer externally wound on the central steel wire, and the plurality of external steel wire strands are wound into a steel wire rope for conveyor belts in one step. The steel wire layer is externally wound on the outer side of the central steel wire, the external steel wire strands are wound to wrap the outer side of the steel wire layer, and the external steel wire strands are in line contact with the steel wire layer.

This invention provides a pneumatic tire having its weight reduced without degrading the durability of bead portions.Provided is a pneumatic tire comprising, as a framework, at least one carcass ply comprising a steel cord covered with rubber. Letting d (mm) be the cord diameter of the steel cord and T (MPa) be the tensile strength of a steel filament forming the steel cord, the following relation is satisfied: a1T−b1>d>a2T+b2 (where a1 is 3.65×10−4 mra/MPa, b1 is 0.42 mm, a2 is −8.00×10−5 mm/MPa, and b2 is 0.78 mm), and the tensile strength T of the steel filament is 3000 MPa (exclusive) to 4000 MPa (exclusive) and the number of hits E under a bead core of the steel cord in the carcass ply is 12 hits/25 mm (exclusive) to 38 hits/25 mm (exclusive).

A woven rope an inner portion comprising a plurality of multifilament fibers in the length direction of the woven rope and a jacket portion covering the inner portion. The jacket portion contains a plurality of monofilament fibers in the length direction of the woven rope and at least one multifilament fiber in the circumferential direction interwoven with the monofilament fibers in the length direction of the jacket portion. The monofilament fibers of the jacket portion form the majority of the outer surface of the woven rope.

An inter-thread distance, D3, between the threads of the external layer is greater than or equal to 25 μm.

The metal reinforcing elements of at least one layer of the carcass reinforcement are non-hooped cords having, in the permeability test, a flow rate of less than 20 cm3/min and at least one layer of the carcass reinforcement being provided on at least one side with textile threads oriented mainly along a direction parallel to that of the metal reinforcing elements of said at least one carcass reinforcement layer, said textile threads being corrugated about this main direction.
