A non-destructive taste characteristics measuring apparatus comprising trays and a measuring section provided in the course of a transport path and at which light is made incident on a vegetable or fruit to measure its taste characteristics, wherein the trays are each provided with at least two tray-side light passages one opening ends of which are so made as to come in contact with the vegetable or fruit and the other ends of which stand open outward at the bottom of the tray, and the measuring section has at least two measurement-side light passages one opening ends of which are positionally adjustable to the opening ends of the tray-side light passages at its part facing the bottom of said tray, and is provided with i) a means for making light incident on the vegetable or fruit through one of the measurement-side light passages and one of the tray-side light passages and ii) a detector which the light emergent from the vegetable or fruit enters through the other tray-side light passage and the other measurement-side light passage. The apparatus enables continuous measurement of taste characteristics such as sugar content and ripeness of vegetables and fruits at a high speed and a high precision without complicating the structure.

To prevent variation of a transmission band characteristic which is caused by variation of operational conditions (e.g., temperature in the rectification feedback amplification) in a system with large extraband attenuation for sharply cutting off the transmission band in each channel of the communication system including plural narrow band channels allotted close to each other, rectification feedback is effected through through an adaptive filter. A band characteristic of the adaptive filter is varied in response to the variation of operational conditions including temperature, while data processing is rapidly effected through digital signal processing. Consequently, even if the communications in each channels are intermittently repeated, each time the communication is reopened, the desired transmission band characteristic can be instantly fixed, so as to prevent the disturbance of stable operation by adjudicating the interference through data correlation.

A direct digital synthesizer which can be switched at a high speed and generates signals having a relatively high frequency with low power consumption; including a clock generator, a frequency setting circuit in which phase increment for unit clock can be programmed, a phase accumulator in which phase increment is accumulated, a ROM which outputs a digital signal corresponding to cumulative phase output, a D/A convertor which inverts polarity of output in each clock time, and a band-pass filter. The output of the band pass filter may be used as a reference input to a phase locked loop.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device including a method for reforming an insulating film formed by a low temperature CVD method. It is an object of the present Invention to provide a method for manufacturing a semiconductor device capable of improving a film quality of an insulating film formed by a CVD method which is able to form a film at a low temperature and also capable of maintaining mass productivity, in which processing by irradiation with ultraviolet rays of the insulating film while heating the film after forming an insulating film (4) on a body to be formed by a chemical vapor deposition method is included.

A semiconductor fabrication apparatus includes a plurality of processing stations for film formation or etching, concurrently or continuously. The semiconductor fabrication apparatus is capable of supplying a process gas for film formation or etching from a single gas header to each processing station and provides uniform wafer processing at each processing station. The apparatus includes a process gas supply source; a plurality of branch pipes branched from the common header which, in turn, is connected to a process gas supply source; a plurality of outlet pipes connecting the branch pipes with the processing stations through first flow rate controllers; exhaust pipes also connected to the branch pipes; plural switching valves for switching the flow of process gas between the outlet pipes and the exhaust pipes; and plural second flow rate controllers in the exhaust pipes.

A hoist includes a shaft driven by external force, a driving shaft connected to the shaft, a reduction gear train for transmitting rotation of the driving shaft to a load sheave, a mechanical brake assembly in the reduction gear train, and an overload safety device having a clutch mechanism capable of transmitting torque larger in driving said load sheave in a winding-off direction than that in a winding-up direction. According to the invention, the clutch mechanism comprises a disc-like driving member, a disc-like driven member, surfaces of these members facing to each other being formed with a plurality of recesses which are arranged in circles on the surfaces of these members and in opposition to each other, slide elements each accommodated in each set of the opposite recesses respectively formed in these members, and resilient urging means for urging the slide elements between the driving and driven members, any one of each set of the recesses having a gentle slope surface facilitating each the slide element to ride thereon and slip when driving the load sheave in the winding-up direction.The hoist according to the invention is capable of automatically preventing the lifting, lowering or dragging of a load under overload condition, and enabling the once lifted load to be securely lowered regardless of its light or heavy weight, and is simple in construction, easy to assemble and adjust and suitable for mass-production.

An idling device is able to bring into an idling condition a lever hoist including a change gear provided on driving member threadedly engaged on a driving shaft for driving a sheave for winding-up a chain or rope for a load, an operating lever rockably driven by a hand, winding-up and winding-off driving pawls engageable with teeth of the change gear and changeable in response to the purpose of hoisting or lowering the load, and a braking assembly for preventing the change gear from being driven by a gravity of the load and adapted to be clamped and released by rotative movement of the driving member relative to said driving shaft. According to the invention the idling device comprises a change-over knob fitted on the driving shaft axially slidably but against rotation and a manually operatable knob fitted on and rotatably and axially slidably relative to the driving shaft between the change-over knob and the driving member and provided with engagement recesses adapted to be engaged in protrusions formed in the driving member. The manually operatable knob is formed with engagement recesses in a bottom of its cavity for receiving the change-over knob. The change-over knob is formed with engagement protrusions to be received in the engagement recesses of the manually operatable knob in the idling condition. The manually operatable knob is further formed with engagement surfaces in opposition to the engagement protrusions of the change-over knob for preventing the change-over knob from moving away from the driving member.
