摘要: An air bag device comprises at the center a bag provided with a gas flowing orifice, a pad for receiving the bag in its folded state, an inflator arranged so as to permit gas to be jetted toward the gas flowing orifice of the bag and an inflator insertion hole into which a holding cylinder below the inflator can be inserted and further provided with a retainer for holding the inflator and the bag in their inner periphery and the pad in its outer periphery. The air bag device further includes a holding cloth surrounding the lower holding cylinder of the inflator and formed continuously below the gas flowing orifice of the bag, and a coupling is formed between the peripheral surface of the inflator and peripheral edge of the inflator insertion hole of the retainer.

摘要: An air bag inflator actuating assembly, which is suitable for application in a steering wheel assembly, including an air bag module is provided. The air bag module includes a folded air bag and an inflator, which are disposed above a core of a boss retained in the steering wheel. A lower cover is assembled below the inflator, and a wheel pad is arranged immediately above the air bag module. The inflator is electrically connected to an external wiring connector through a brushless transmitter. A lower surface of the inflator and an upper surface of the brushless transmitter are electrically connected to each other through a pair of leadless connectors.

摘要: A remote control apparatus for recording/playback equipment capable of remotely controlling complicated recording playback equipment while placing little burden on the control side. Schedule data is transmitted from an uplink system 100 to a downlink system 200 via a communications satellite. The schedule data includes operation data for recording and playback operations and their related operations, start data which displays at least the operation start time, and position data which indicates the recording/playback position on the recording medium. The received schedule data is stored in a non-volatile RAM in the control area of the VCR 203. The VCR then uses this schedule data as a basis for automatically carrying out recording or playback operations and their related operations. As is no longer necessary to control the operation by providing appropriate commands to the VCR 203 in real time, the burden on the control side is greatly eased with regards to the control of complicated operations in addition to recording and playback, such as rewind and pre-roll operation modes.

摘要: In high efficiency coding of a motion image signal in transmission or recording of the motion image signal, plural prediction signals are determined by independently compensating a motion of reproduction signals of plural frames positioned before a frame to be coded. A linear combination of these prediction signals is used as derived a prediction signal. An error of the frame to be coded and the derived prediction signal is coded. As a result, the distortion of the prediction signal, that is, the prediction error is reduced, and the coding efficiency is enhanced.

摘要: An energy-saving, downsized gas supply apparatus equipped with a vaporizer is provided, wherein the gas supply apparatus is capable of stably and easily performing highly accurate gas flow rate control without requiring rigorous temperature control on the vaporizer side. The present invention pertains to a gas supply apparatus equipped with a vaporizer that includes (a) a liquid receiving tank; (b) a vaporizer that vaporizes liquid; (c) a high-temperature type pressure type flow rate control device that adjusts a flow rate of a vaporized gas; and (d) heating devices that heat the vaporizer, the high-temperature type pressure type flow rate control device, and desired portions of pipe passages connected to the vaporizer and the high-temperature type pressure type flow rate control device.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes an imaging unit, a fixing unit, a first thermometer, and a controller. The imaging unit forms a toner image on a recording medium conveyed along a media conveyance path. The fixing device is disposed downstream from the imaging unit along the media conveyance path to fix the toner image in place on the recording medium. The fixing device includes a fuser roller, a heat roller, an endless, fuser belt, and a pressure roller. The fuser roller has a cylindrical core of metal. The pressure roller presses against the fuser roller via the fuser belt to form a fixing nip therebetween. The first thermometer detects a first temperature at the cylindrical core of the fuser roller. The controller controls conveyance of the recording medium through the fixing nip according to the first temperature.

摘要: A transfer fixing device includes a transfer fixing member, a pressure member, and a primary heater. The transfer fixing member defines a moving surface on which a toner image travels. The pressure member is pressed against the transfer fixing member to define a transfer fixing nip where the toner image traveling along the moving surface meets a surface of a recording medium traveling along the media conveyance path. The primary heater is located upstream of the transfer fixing nip along the media conveyance path to heat the surface of the recording medium before entering the transfer fixing nip. The heated surface of the recording medium fuses toner for transfer and fixing into place at the transfer fixing nip. The pressure member is at least partially electrically biased to generate an electrostatic field to promote transfer of toner at the transfer fixing nip.

摘要: A side impact protection airbag system includes an inflator, a retainer and an airbag. An interior space of the airbag is divided into a pelvis portion protecting chamber and a chest portion protecting chamber by a dividing part. A gas ejecting part of the inflator and an opening in the retainer are provided between a fixing end portion of the airbag and an end portion (a connecting portion) of the dividing part which lies a side facing the fixing end portion. A circumferential portion on a wall part which is separate from the opening is made to constitute an interruption wall which interrupts the passage of an inflation gas to the dividing part side, and the interruption wall is provided between the gas ejecting part and the connecting portion.
