    摘要: A method for authoring and displaying a virtual tour of a three-dimensional space which employs transitional effects simulating motion. An authoring tool is provided for interactively defining a series of locations in the space for which two-dimensional images, e.g., panoramas, photographs, etc., are available. A user identifies one or more view directions for a first-person perspective viewer for each location. For pairs of locations in the series, transitional effects are identified to simulate smooth motion between the pair of locations. The authoring tool stores data corresponding to the locations, view directions and transitional effects for playback on a display. When the stored data is accessed, a virtual tour of the space is created that includes transitional effects simulating motion between locations. The virtual tour created can allow a viewer to experience the three-dimensional space in a realistic manner.

An explosion sequence for separating first components of the assembly is determined. The explosion sequence comprises stages in which each stage represents a different spatial relationship between two or more of the first components. A first input is received from an interactive control. A first stage in the explosion sequence is selected based on the first input. The rendering of the assembly is updated, responsive to the first input, to show the first stage of the explosion sequence. A second input is received from the interactive control. A different second stage in the explosion sequence is selected based on the second input. The rendering of the assembly is updated, responsive to the second input, to show the second stage of the explosion sequence.

    摘要: A system and method for visualizing a 3D scene using a flexible display are disclosed. The 3D scene reflects a model of graphics objects, where each graphics object is represented by 3D primitives such as vertices, lines, or surfaces. A display processor generates a 2D image of the 3D scene using various graphics rendering techniques such as non-linear ray-tracing algorithms. A sensor associated with the flexible display detects that a surface profile of the display has been altered, which causes the display processor to generate a new 2D image of the 3D scene. The effect is that flexing the display allows the user to view the 3D scene from a different perspective. In one embodiment, the different perspective is viewing the object from a different camera position. In another embodiment, the different perspective is provided by generating an exploded view of an assembly of graphics objects.

The 3D representation includes multiple stacked floor maps corresponding to the floors of the multi-story building. In response to the detection of a pinch gesture that is applied to the 3D representation, a vertical distance between each floor map is expanded relative to the detected pinch gesture to reveal features of an internal map that corresponds to each floor map.
