The fuel sucked by the fuel pump flows into the fuel filter and flows out to the lower side chamber of a filter housing after being filtered by an element. The fuel consumed at the fuel consumption device such as an internal combustion engine is supplied through a fuel passage extending upward from the lower side chamber of the filter housing. On the other hand, water mixed in the fuel is accumulated in the lower side chamber. Especially, glass fibers having high water affinity is mixed in the filter element, so that water is trapped, becomes water drops, and fall to the lower side chamber. Water drops return to the fuel tank with surplus fuel through the pressure regulator disposed at the bottom of the housing.

Air is conditioned to an optimum blown out air temperature by varying the cooling rate at the evaporator 207 and the heating rate at the condenser 203 and is blown out to a room of an automobile from spit holes 141, 142 and 143. An outside heat exchanger is provided outside the duct 100, and a flow of refrigerant is changed over suitably among the outside heat exchanger 202, the evaporator 207 and the condenser 203 to perform cooling operation, heating operation, dehumidifying operation, dehumidifying heating operation and defrosting operation.

The present invention relates to a device which supplies a field current to the field coil of an alternator for a vehicle in a gradually changing manner. In the device, a pulse voltage which has a pulse width corresponding to a phase difference between output signals of first and a second counters (15 and 16) is generated by a maximum duty ratio limiting circuit (19). When the alternator output voltage becomes higher than a reference voltage, the full-scale count time of the second counter is shortened relative to the full-scale count time of the first counter. On the other hand, when the output voltage becomes lower than the reference voltage, the same is elongated to thereby increase the phase difference. A switching transistor (12) is provided to control the field current supplied to the alternator field coil in response to the above pulse voltage.
