Abstract:
There is provided a random mat of the present invention including: reinforcing fibers having an average fiber length of 5 to 100 mm; and a thermoplastic resin, wherein a fiber areal weight of the reinforcing fibers is from 25 to 3,000 g/m2, for a reinforcing fiber bundle (A) including the reinforcing fibers equivalent to or more than a critical single fiber number defined by formula (1), a ratio of the reinforcing fiber bundle (A) to a total amount of the reinforcing fibers in the mat is from 30 vol % to less than 90 vol %, and an average number (N) of the reinforcing fibers in the reinforcing fiber bundle (A) satisfies formula (2): Critical single fiber number=600/D (1) 0.7×104/D2
Abstract:
There is provided a joint body including: a reinforcing member having at least one random layer in which a chopped carbon fiber is randomly oriented in a thermoplastic resin, and at least one unidirectional material layer in which a continuous carbon fiber is unidirectionally arranged in a thermoplastic resin; and a reinforced member with an open sectional shape having at least one selected from the group consisting of a random layer and a unidirectional material layer, wherein the reinforcing member and the reinforced member are vibration-welded to form a hollow closed section.
Abstract:
A method for producing a joint member between a carbon fiber composite material containing a thermoplastic resin as a matrix and a metal, includes: forming a layer containing a triazine thiol derivative on a surface of the metal; providing a thermoplastic resin layer between the layer containing a triazine thiol derivative and the carbon fiber composite material; and melting the thermoplastic resin layer to join the metal to the carbon fiber composite material.
Abstract:
A powdery composition for nasal administration, where (1) the composition contains (i) a drug, (ii) a water-absorbing and gel-forming base material such as hydroxypropyl cellulose or hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose and (iii) a water-absorbing and water-insoluble base material such as crystalline cellulose or null-cellulose, (2) wherein the amount of the water-absorbing and gel-forming base material is about 5-40 wt % based on the total of the water-absorbing and gel-forming base material and the water-absorbing and water-insoluble base material, and (3) wherein the drug is unevenly dispersed more on/in the water-absorbing and water-insoluble base material than on/in the water-absorbing and gel-forming base material.
Abstract:
A polymetaphenylene isophtha lamide-based polymer porous film having a satisfactory porous structure that exhibits excellent gas permeability and heat resistance. It is produced by a process which comprises casting a dope of the polymetaphenylene isophthalamide-based polymer and coagulating it in a coagulating bath. The porous film may also contain inorganic whiskers, and a composite porous film may be formed in combination with a separate thermoplastic polymer film.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an anthranilic acid derivative expressed by the following formula (1) or the following formula (2), or its pharmacologically permissible salt or solvate. 1
Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a bladder which is unlikely to have a shapal variation along the inner wall surface of the tire and can satisfactorily extend along the inner wall surface of the tire. An inventive bladder is used to press the inner wall surface of the tire by a pressurized heating medium during the vulcanization of a green tire and is comprised of a fabric layer (purl stitched fabric layer 12) and rubber layers (silicone rubber layers 11, 13) placed one over another. Elongation rates of the fabric layer in warp direction and in weft direction both exceed 15% and satisfy: 0.4nullelongation rate in weft direction/elongation rate in warp directionnull6.0. Since the fabric layer has good extensibility, it can elongate with the rubber layers.
Abstract:

Abstract:
A method of cleaning the aromatic polycarbonate production unit with a carbonic acid diaryl ester at a temperature of 200 to 350null C. in an inert gas atmosphere.
Abstract:
A battery containment construct is provided that includes a unitary tray having a bottom and a set of walls including a first side wall, a second side wall, a first end wall, and a second end wall. The set of walls extending from the bottom of the tray and defining a cavity within the tray. A cover removably attached to the plurality of walls of said tray opposite the bottom of said tray. Energy absorption components attached to the bottom of the tray external to at least one of the set of walls in some versions to enhance impact resistance. The construct has high strength, is light weight and well suited for containing and protecting energy cells or batteries that adjusted to impact resistance, fire resistance, and fluid penetration prevention.
