A driving support system with plural dimension processing units (DPUs) for indicating a condition of a surrounding area is disclosed. The driving support system of a vehicle includes plural image capturing devices disposed around the vehicle; at least a dimension processing unit (DPU) connected with the plural image capturing devices for receiving images from the plural image capturing devices and then producing plural related depth maps; a controller connected with the DPU for receiving the plural related depth maps and then producing an indicating data; and a display device connected with the controller for displaying the indicating data around the vehicle in a vertical view.
Abstract:
A semiconductor device fabrication method is disclosed. A buffer layer is provided and a first semiconductor layer is formed on the buffer layer. Next, a first intermediate layer is formed on the first semiconductor layer by dopant with high concentration during an epitaxial process. A second semiconductor layer is overlaid on the first intermediate layer. A semiconductor light emitting device is grown on the second semiconductor layer. The formation of the intermediate layer and the second semiconductor layer is a set of steps.

In the current high efficiency video coding development, each LCU has its own quantization parameter (QP) and the difference between a current QP and a reference QP is transmitted instead of the QP value itself. Since the LCU is much larger than the macroblock of AVC/H.264, using one delta QP per LCU may cause rate control unable to adapt to the bitrate quickly enough. Consequently there is a need to adopt delta QP in units smaller than LCU to provide more granular rate control. Furthermore, it is desirable to develop a system that is capable of facilitating more flexible delta QP. Accordingly, adaptive quantization parameter processing is disclosed where a QP minimum CU size for incorporating or deriving a delta QP is indicated selectively in the slice level or in the sequence/picture level. In one variation, the delta QP is incorporated or derived only if nonzero quantized transform coefficients exist in a leaf CU that is larger than the QP minimum CU size. In another variation, quantization parameter information is only incorporated or derived when a leaf CU has any nonzero quantized transform coefficient. In yet another variation, a flag is used to indicate whether one delta QP per LCU is transmitted if the LCU has any nonzero quantized transform coefficient or one delta QP per leaf CU is transmitted if the leaf CU has any nonzero quantized transform coefficient.

An apparatus and a method for rendering three-dimensional stereoscopic images are provided. The apparatus is for use in a three-dimensional image processing system which generates viewpoint images according to an input image and an input depth. The apparatus comprises an object device, a depth device, and a block filling device. The object device executes a process of object detection to output contour information according to the input image. The depth device executes a process of object judgment to output distance information according to the input depth. The block filling device detects a hole region in each viewpoint image, searches a search region adjacent to the hole region for a number of original pixels, and fills the hole region according to the original pixels, the contour information, and the distance information.

A battery grid includes a grid network having a plurality of spaced apart grid wire elements. Each grid wire element has opposed ends joined to one of a plurality of nodes, each node includes a juncture of one of one of the opposed ends of the plurality of grid wire elements, to define a plurality of open spaces in the grid network. In various embodiments, at least one of the grid wire elements has a first transverse cross-section intermediate its opposed ends that is a different shape than a second transverse cross-section at at least one of the grid wire element's opposed ends. In various embodiments, the battery grid also includes a lead alloy coating on substantially all of the grid wire elements, wherein the lead alloy coating is exposed to an inert gas during the coating of the grid wire elements.

An assembling device for attaching a light guide plate and a reflecting member together is provided. The assembling device includes a first receiving member and a second receiving member. The first receiving member defines a first recess therein for accommodating the light guide plate. The second receiving member defines a second recess therein for accommodating the reflecting member. The assembling device has an open position and a closed position. The light guide plate is capable of being loaded in the first recess and the reflecting member is capable of being loaded in the second recess when the assembling device is in the open position. The first receiving member and the second receiving member are aligned with and parallel to each other when the assembling device is in the closed position.

A two-stage torsion pivot hinge including an axle connected with a base and having a shaft mounted thereon with a bush for a spring tube. The bush forms a first and a second protrusion element respectively extending out of its two ends. The spring tube is fixedly connected with a supporting member and is provided with two torsion sleeves respectively on the two ends of the bush. Each torsion sleeve has an axial cut and has two contact elements extending respectively toward the two ends of the bush. The contact elements respectively interfere with the first and the second protrusion elements. By the function between the torsion sleeve and the bush, the pivot hinge can provide different torsion forces for the stroke of rotating the screen from its closed position to a vertical angular position and for the stroke from the vertical position to its maximum opening angular position.

Embodiments of the present Invention provide antibody functionalized high electron mobility transistor (HEMT) devices for marine or freshwater pathogen sensing. In one embodiment, the marine pathogen can be Perkinsus marinus. A sensing unit can include a wireless transmitter fabricated on the HEMT. The sensing unit allows testing in areas without direct access to electrical outlets and can send the testing results to a central location using the wireless transmitter. According to embodiments, results of testing can be achieved within seconds.
