摘要: An information providing method and apparatus in which a radio wave signal is transmitted from plural artificial satellites and received at plural receiving equipment located within a pre-defined service area, and receiving within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle by a receiving antenna. The plural artificial satellites are viewable in turn within a pre-defined range of operational elevation angle at an arbitrary location within the pre-defined service area, and an orbit is arranged so that at least one artificial satellite is viewable. Each orbit of the plural artificial satellites is arranged on an individual orbital plane according to a designated service hour. The individual orbit is located in a range where an orbital inclination angle is 63.4 degrees or closer to Japan, and a right ascension of a north-bound node of the individual artificial satellite is separated approximately at regular intervals.

摘要: A first time interval between reference signals is measured when there is no shift in a center of rotation of a recording medium. A second time interval between reference signals recorded on the recording medium is measured when there is a shift in the center of rotation of the recording medium. A correction value of a data write time interval for writing data to the recording medium is computed, based on the first time interval and a second time interval. Data is written to the recording medium based on the correction value.

摘要: An oscillation control circuit comprising a PLL circuit and a phase-locked state discrimination circuit is adapted to an oscillation circuit that performs oscillation to produce an oscillation signal (CKX) when supply voltage is applied thereto. The PLL circuit produces a clock signal (CKP) whose frequency is a multiple of the frequency of the oscillation signal, wherein it controls the clock signal to be synchronized with the oscillation signal in phase. The phase-locked state discrimination circuit discriminates whether or not the PLL circuit is placed in a phase-locked state on the basis of a phase relationship between the oscillation signal and clock signal. Based on a discrimination result, a damping resistance adapted to the oscillation circuit is switched over. That is, the damping resistance (Rd) is reduced to cope with an unstable state of oscillation; then, it is restored to an original resistance thereof when oscillation is certainly stabilized.

摘要: A light emitting array including at least a plurality of light emitting elements, each of which is provided thereon with a microlens in one-to-one correspondence. Light emitting portions of the light emitting element are provided having the shape of a rectangle and formed so as to satisfy the relational expression, Lmin≦D≦P, where Lmin is the length of the shorter side of the rectangle, P an alignment pitch of the light emitting elements, and D the diameter of microlens. In addition, light emitting elements are formed in line on a transparent thin film layer to satisfy the relationship, T1≦2·D2, where T1 is the thickness of the transparent thin film layer and D2 the diameter of each microlens. The light emitting array may suitably be included in the light source unit which is then incorporated into image forming apparatuses for forming mono-color or multiple-color images.

摘要: An image forming apparatus includes a light emitting array composed of a plurality of light emitting elements that emits light fluxes. An imaging element array may be provided so as to perform imaging with the light fluxes on a prescribed plane. A three dimensional exposure intensity distribution of the light flux is obtained per each light emitting element. A prescribed attribute is obtained from each of the exposure intensity distributions. A plurality of comparison values for the entire exposure valid region may be obtained from different units which consist of two or more successive attributes. Prescribed light emitting quantities enabling all of the comparison values to fall within a prescribed range may be determined and set to respective light emitting elements.
