Abstract: An improved core network that can monitor micro-level issues, identify specific services of specific nodes that may be causing an outage, and perform targeted node failovers in a manner that does not cause unnecessary disruptions in service is described herein. For example, the improved core network can include a failover and isolation server (FIS) system. The FIS system can obtain service-specific KPIs from the various nodes in the core network. The FIS can then compare the obtained KPI values of the respective service with corresponding threshold values. If any KPI value exceeds a corresponding threshold value, the FIS may preliminarily determine that the service of the node associated with the KPI value is responsible for a service outage. The FIS can initiate a failover operation, which causes the node to re-route any received requests corresponding to the service potentially responsible for the service outage to a redundant node.

Abstract: Techniques for identifying nodes in a data center fabric that are affected by a failure in the fabric, and selectively sending disaggregation advertisements to the nodes affected by the failure. The techniques include a process where a component monitors the network fabric to identify communication paths between leaf nodes, and determines what leaf nodes would be affected by a failure in those communication paths. The component may detect a failure in the network and determine which communication paths, and thus which leaf nodes, are affected by the failure and send disaggregation advertisements to the affected leaf nodes. In some examples, ingress leaf nodes send data through the fabric that indicate egress nodes for the communication paths. Intermediate nodes along may receive the data from the leaf nodes to identify communication paths, and the notify only affected nodes upon detecting a failure in the network.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method and a system for managing radio unit or Open-Radio Unit (O-RU) (116) failure. The method manages the O-RU failure through a plurality of NETCONF (Network Configuration Protocol) clients by a management-plane (M-Plane) in an open radio access network (100). The method includes establishing the M-Plane between the O-RU and the plurality of NETCONF clients available with each of an Open-Distributed Unit (O-DU) (114) and a Service Management and Orchestration (SMO) framework (102) and detecting failure by the plurality of NETCONF clients in the connection between the O-RU and the plurality of NETCONF clients within a session at a predefined time duration. Lastly, the method includes switching the connection from a hybrid model to a hierarchical model in case of the failure with the hybrid model, whereby switching the connection ensures returning to the hybrid model without reset when the SMO framework connection is back.

Abstract: A security system is described for managing a premises. The security system comprises security system components and a first controller. A takeover component receives security data of the security system from the first controller. The security data is used to configure a second controller to communicate with the security system. Abstract: Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for beam failure recovery in a communication system. The method for beam failure recovery includes the steps of: searching for a plurality of candidate beams when a beam failure is detected; transmitting a beam failure recovery request signal to a base station by using beam #1 of the plurality of candidate beams; receiving a beam failure recovery response signal in response to the beam failure recovery request signal via beam #1 from the base station; and transmitting an SR requesting a resource for transmission of multi-beam setting information to the base station, wherein the multi-beam setting information includes indexes of one or more beams excluding beam #1 of the plurality of candidate beams. Therefore, performance of the communication system can be improved.
