    摘要: A suction air control apparatus of an internal combustion engine which is subjected to an after-start lean-burn control to be operated at a lean mixture ratio rather than a theoretical mixture ratio is provided. According to the apparatus, a smooth operation of the engine in a transitional state when the after-start lean-burn control is canceled is ensured. The apparatus comprises throttle opening degree control means for driving a throttle valve of a suction system to control a throttle opening degree to a target throttle opening degree set in accordance with an operation state of the engine for regulating amount of the suction air, after-start lean-burn control cancel discrimination means for discriminating cancellation of the after-start lean-burn control of the engine, steep acceleration discrimination means for discriminating whether an acceleration of a vehicle is a steep acceleration higher than a predetermined acceleration or not, and throttle opening degree correction means for correcting the target throttle opening degree to limit increase of the target throttle opening degree when the after-start lean-burn control cancel discrimination means discriminates cancellation of the after-start lean-burn control and the steep acceleration discrimination means discriminates the steep acceleration of the vehicle.

    摘要: A filter unit comprises a metallic supporting plate possessed of stepped through holes opening with a larger diameter in one main surface and with a smaller diameter in the other main surface (wherein the diameter ratio of larger-diameter openings to smaller-diameter openings is desired to be in the range of 1:0.01 to 1:0.5) or a pressureproof supporting plate having in one surface thereof inclined liquid flow grooves arranged in a radial pattern and concentric circular liquid flow grooves adapted to intersect the radially arranged liquid flow grooves and a membrane filter disposed on the surface of the supporting plate containing larger-diameter openings or liquid flow grooves. This filter unit is ideally used for finely dividing and uniformly sizing suspended lipid particles assuming a definite average particle size and a specific particle size distribution. The high-pressure sizing apparatus and the method for production of suspended lipid particles utilize the filter unit constructed as described above and rely essentially for their operation on effecting fine division of lipid particles in the suspension by supplying the suspension of lipid particles from the membrane filter side under pressure and causing the suspension to pass through the membrane filter. Thus, they constitute themselves effective measures for pharmacological products and cosmetic products which are in need of lipid particles assuming a definite average particle size and a specific particle size distribution.

    摘要: In a throttle valve controller for controlling the opening and closing of a throttle valve in an internal combustion engine, the state of the throttle valve entering a sticking is detected from a difference between a target throttle valve opening degree and an actual throttle valve opening degree. When the throttle valve enters its sticking state, the amount of decrement in the output from the engine is calculated based on the current operational condition of the engine and an estimated value for the operational condition of the engine after elimination of the sticking. When the elimination of the sticking is detected on the basis of a sudden variation in throttle valve opening degree, the output from the engine is reduced by fuel cut on the basis of the amount of decrement in engine output. This prevents occurence of a sudden variation in output torque of the engine, which may otherwise be produced as a result of elimination of the sticking.

    摘要: A polishing machine for polishing the end faces of ferrules supporting coaxially aligned optical fibers to be connected in an optical fiber connector. The machine has a polishing disk composed of a rotating disk with a flat face, a rubber plate fixed on the rotating disk, and a thin metal elastic plate mounted on the rubber plate. The surface of the polishing disk is capable of being indented when the end face of a ferrule is pressed against the surface of the polishing disk. So, by passing the end face of the ferrule against the rotating polishing disk, and rotating the ferrule around its axis alternately to the left and right, the end face of the ferrule is polished approximately spherically. A revolving motion may be included for the ferrule. The curvature of the polished end face is determined by the force used to press the ferrule toward the polisher and the elasticity for the polishing disk. The surface of the polishing disk may be provided with a series of grooves arranged in a mesh pattern to catch and retain the abrasives, and when the ferrule approaches to the grooves, the abrasives gush out of the grooves to wet the end face to be polished. So, the polishing is done very smoothly. The chuck for clamping the ferrule is mountable and demountable from the polishing machine, while the ferrule is clamped therein. This makes the handling of the machine very easy, and prevents contamination and stain by abrasives.
