摘要: The present invention provides a method and system for analyzing a network of biological functions, such as transcriptional factors, structural genes, cellular markers, cell surface markers, cell shapes, organelle shapes, cell mobility, enzyme activities, metabolite concentrations, and localization of cellular components, in a biological entity such as a cell. Particularly, an object of the present invention is to provide a system and method for presenting biological information in a global manner without modification where the cell is considered a complex system.

摘要: An onboard fuel separation apparatus separates a material fuel (gasoline) into a high-octane fuel having a higher octane value than the material fuel and a low-octane fuel having a lower octane value than the material fuel using a separation membrane which selectively allows high-octane value components (such as aromatic components) permeate through the membrane. The apparatus increases the ratio of the amount of the high-octane value components permeating through the membrane to the amount of the high-octane value components contained in the material fuel by, (A) Controlling the temperature of the material fuel supplied to the membrane (B) Increasing partial pressure of the low-octane value components on the high-octane fuel side of the membrane and removing volatiles from the permeate, and (C) Bypassing volatiles in the material feed around the membrane.

摘要: To accelerate a combustion within an entire combustion chamber including the vicinity of an opening portion for air suction to thereby make uniform a flame propagation in a combustion chamber structure for an internal combustion engine, and to provide a technology for preventing the generation of knocks, a longitudinal sectional shape of a top wall surface of the combustion chamber is in the form of a substantially triangular shape in longitudinal section defined and surrounded by a cylinder head, a cylinder and a piston. A projection is provided on a circumferential edge portion of a top surface of the piston, with a surface, facing the top wall surface of the combustion chamber, of the projection being substantially in parallel with the top wall surface of the combustion chamber. A cutaway portion is formed in the vicinity of at least a portion, facing the intake opening portion, of the projection of the top surface of the piston.

摘要: A fuel pump is constructed of a pump casing, a rotating member and a reinforcing member. The pump casing internally forms a pump chamber, in which the rotating member is received, such that the rotating member rotates to pressurize fuel in the pump chamber. The reinforcing member reinforces the pump casing against fluidic force applied to the pump casing. The pump casing is formed of resin. The reinforcing member is insert-formed in the pump casing, so that the reinforcing member is at least partially embedded in the pump casing.
