Abstract:
The present invention provides an antigen-binding protein that specifically binds to a conformational epitope formed by domain III & IV of human epidermal growth factor receptor 3 (HER3) and antigen-binding proteins which compete therewith for binding, as well as fusion protein or conjugate comprising these. The present invention also provides nucleic acid molecule comprising a sequence encoding said antigen binding proteins, vectors comprising the nucleic acid, and cells and pharmaceuticals comprising the antigen binding protein, the fusion protein, the nucleic acid, or the vector. The present invention also provides the antigen binding protein, the fusion protein or conjugate, the nucleic acid, the vector, the cell, or the pharmaceutical for use as a medicament. The present invention further provides a method of inhibiting tumor growth or treating cancer, comprising administering a therapeutically effective amount of the antigen binding protein, the fusion protein or conjugate, the nucleic acid, the vector, the cell, or the pharmaceutical.

Abstract:
The invention relates to an N-heterocyclic carbene complex of general formulas I to IV (I) (II) (III) (IV), according to which A1 stands for NR2 or PR2, A2 stands for CR2 R2′, NR2, PR2, 0 or S, A3 stands for N or P, and C stands for a carbene carbon atom, ring B is an unsubstituted or a mono or poly-substituted 5 to 7-membered ring, substituents R2 and R2′ stand, inter alia, for a linear or branched C1-Cw-alkyl group and, if N and N each stand for NR2 or PR2, are the same or different, M in formulas I, II, III or IV stands for Cr, Mo or W, X 1 or X2 in formulas I to IV are the same or different and represent, inter alia, C1-C1s carboxylates and C1-C1s-alkoxides, Y is inter alia oxygen or sulphur, Z is inter alia a linear or branched C1-Cw-alkylenoxy group, and R 1 and R1′ in formulas I to IV are, inter alia, an aliphatic or aromatic group. These compounds are particularly suitable for use as catalysts for olefin metathesis reactions and have the advantage, compared to known Schrock carbene complexes, of displaying clearly increased tolerance to functional groups such as, in particular, aldehydes, secondary amines, nitriles, carboxylic acids and alcohols.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and an apparatus for establishing residual stresses in objects, in particular in coated objects, and to a method and an apparatus for coating objects. The method comprises: impinging a surface (8) of the object (5) with laser light and generating a hole or a pattern of holes and/or locally heated points in the object (5); establishing the surface deformations by an optical deforming measuring method after the object (5) is impinged by laser light; establishing the residual stresses present in the object (5) from the measured surface deformations, wherein the generation of the hole pattern is carried out by an optical scanning apparatus which comprises an optical deflection and/or modulation arrangement for controllable deflection and/or modulation of the laser light, and/or a focusing arrangement for controllable focusing of the laser light.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the identification, production and use of thermostable alginate lyase enzymes that can be used to partially degrade alginate to yield oligosaccharides or to give complete degradation of alginate to yield (unsaturated) mono-uronates.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method and a computer program product for generating an artefact-reduced voxel data record of an object. The artefact-reduced voxel data record of the object is generated with the aid of a computed tomography scanner. In some aspects of the present disclosure, a first image data record and a second image data record is generated by acquiring computed tomography images of the object. In still other aspects of the present disclosure, the artefact-reduced voxel data record of the object is generated with the aid of an image data reconstruction algorithm.

Abstract:
An optical rotating device for injecting a laser beam may include deflection devices between which the injected laser beam may rotate in the optical rotating device, and an extraction device that may extract the laser beam after carrying out a predetermined number of rotations in the rotating device. The deflection devices may be arranged such that the position of the laser beam during extraction is dependent on the number of rotations carried out in the optical rotating device.
