摘要： Disclosed is an image pickup device, by which cut resistance at the time of cutting a wafer lens is reduced, high production efficiency is maintained, and excellent optical characteristics are obtained. The image pickup device has a first lens block, a second lens block, a spacer, and a sensor unit. The side surface section of the first lens block, the side surface section of the second lens block, and the side surface section of the spacer are formed on the same plane. A lens cover that covers the first and the second lens blocks is provided in a step formed by respective side surface sections of the first lens block, the second lens block and the spacer, and the side surface section of the sensor unit.

摘要： An object of the invention is to provide a photocatalyst material having a higher catalyst effect than conventional photocatalyst materials. The photocatalyst material of the invention contains, as its major component, a tungsten oxide powder excited by a light source which emits light having a wavelength of 430 to 500 nm, the photocatalyst material having a decomposition ability of 50% or more wherein the decomposition ability is given by the following equation based on the following test: [Test for decomposition ability]: 1 g of a tungsten oxide powder and 20 ppm of acetaldehyde (amount A) are poured into a 3-liter glass container, and acetaldehyde (amount B) is measured after light having a peak wavelength of 460 nm±10 nm is irradiated to the mixture for 2 hours to measure the decomposition ability (%): Decomposition ability (%)=[(acetaldehyde amount A−acetaldehyde amount B)/acetaldehyde amount A]×100.

摘要： A method of manufacturing a discrete track medium type perpendicular magnetic recording layer with reduced magnetic interference between tracks and enhanced magnetic recording density is disclosed in which protruding parts of a pattern of protrusions and recesses provided in a composite magnetic recording layer are formed in high quality having a similar film thickness and equivalent perpendicular magnetic recording performance to a perpendicular magnetic recording layer designed for a continuous film type medium. The method includes a first step of laminating at least a magnetic recording layer, a sacrifice layer, and a carbon protective layer on a nonmagnetic substrate in this order; a second step of selectively removing the resist film and the carbon protective layer at openings for forming recessed parts using a mask of a resist film pattern formed concentric to form protruding parts for constructing recording tracks; a third step of modifying the sacrifice layer and the magnetic recording layer exposing at the recessed parts into a nonmagnetic state; a fourth step of removing the resist film, the carbon protective layer, and the sacrifice layer at the protruding parts between the recessed parts; and a fifth step of depositing a carbon protective layer and a lubricant layer in this order on the recessed parts and the protruding parts.

摘要： A control apparatus and control method is provided for an internal combustion engine that includes a vaporized fuel tank in which vaporized fuel is stored, and a normally-closed vaporized fuel supply valve that opens and closes a connecting portion between the vaporized fuel tank and a surge tank. This apparatus and method produce vaporized fuel by injecting fuel into the tank while the vaporized fuel supply valve is closed while the engine is operating, then open the vaporized fuel supply valve at engine startup and supply the vaporized fuel stored in the tank to the surge tank. If there is no vaporized fuel remaining in the vaporized fuel tank when the engine stops, vacuum is generated in the vaporized fuel tank by temporarily opening the vaporized fuel supply valve before the engine stops. Vaporized fuel is then produced by injecting fuel into the vaporized fuel tank in this vacuum state.
