摘要： A resection guide locator includes a bone engagement portion with surfaces that are complementary to the surface topographies of a bone to be resected during surgery. A housing includes a socket defined by a resilient annular wall that is sized and arranged so to accept a resection guide by press-fit to thereby position and hold the resection guide within the socket. The resection guide is maintained in a predetermined, preferred position while the surfaces are releasably locked in position on the bone. A method is disclosed for forming and using the resection guide locator.

In one embodiment, the bipolar junction transistor comprises in stacked relation a collector, an intrinsic base, an extrinsic base and an emitter. The emitter is formed by defining an opening in material layers forming the extrinsic base and selectively depositing silicon in the opening. The silicon is doped in situ or by an implant process. In another embodiment lacking an extrinsic base the opening is formed in dielectric material layers overlying the intrinsic base.

摘要： An inverted plunger for unclogging pipes or toilets is described. The proposed inverted plunger does not have any openings filled with air, at the stretchable elastic bottom part, unlike all plungers described in the prior art. The proposed inverted plunger is equipped with the internal piston, that allows the pressure application to the narrower part of the stretchable bottom, leading to direct pressure from the stretched material to the liquid inside the pipe, avoiding the air-to-liquid pressure utilized in regular plungers. Using the electric motor in the proposed inverted plunger leads to the increased efficiency and to the easy use by the operator.

The method may comprise the steps of an initial mixing of the catalyst or enhancer with a suitable solvent and then subsequent dilution steps using solvents or fuel. Suitable solvents include water, MTBE, methylketone, methyisobutylketone, butanol, isopropyl alcohol and other hydrophilic/oleophilic compounds.

摘要： A tuning device consisting of a wax piece, a scraper, and a buffer in a portable unit for creating a waxed surface for skis and snowboards. The tuning device may also include a cord or strap for carrying the device and a cap fitting over the wax for keeping other surfaces from coming in direct contact with the wax while carrying and storing the device. The wax cap may also be used to form new wax on the tuning device. The tuning device allows for the application of wax to the base surface of all types of skis and snowboards. The wax is first applied to the base surface of the ski or snowboard, filling in scratches and gouges on the base surface. The excess wax is then scraped off using the scraper. The base surface of the ski or snowboard where the wax was applied is then polished using the buffer.
