Abstract: A light-emitting module includes: a light source; a light guide plate including an upper surface and a lower surface, the lower surface being at a side opposite to the upper surface, the light guide plate being configured to guide light from the light source; a wavelength conversion sheet located at an upper surface side of the light guide plate; a first light-reflective member located at a lower surface side of the light guide plate, the first light-reflective member including: a first resin member, and a first reflector, where a refractive index of the first reflector is lower than a refractive index of the first resin member; and a second light-reflective member located at a lower surface side of the first light-reflective member, wherein the second light-reflective member includes: a second resin member, and a second reflector, where a refractive index of the second reflector is higher than a refractive index of the second resin member.

Abstract: A method of manufacturing a light-emitting device includes steps of: preparing at least one first member each including (i) a light-transmissive member having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a lateral surface contiguous with the top surface and the bottom surface, (ii) a phosphor layer disposed below the bottom surface, and (iii) a cover layer disposed on a lateral surface of the phosphor layer and the lateral surface of the light-transmissive member; and, for each of the at least one first member, mounting a light-emitting element on a base having a fat plate shape, bonding the light-emitting element and the phosphor layer of the first member together, placing a frame body on the base so as to surround the light-emitting element, and filling a light-reflective member in the frame body so that the light-reflective member covers at least a portion of the cover layer of the first member.

Abstract: A light-emitting device includes: a set of layers including (i) a light-transmissive member having a top surface, a bottom surface, and a lateral surface contiguous with the top surface and the bottom surface, (ii) a first phosphor layer disposed below the bottom surface, and (iii) a dielectric multilayer film between the light-transmissive member and the first phosphor layer; a cover layer disposed on a lateral surface of the set of layers; and a light-emitting element disposed below the first phosphor layer. The light-emitting element emits blue light. The first phosphor layer absorbs at least a portion of the blue light and emits yellow-red to red light. The cover layer is either: a second phosphor layer that absorbs at least a portion of the blue light emitted by the light-emitting element and emits yellow-red to red light, or a pigment layer that presents yellow-red to red light.

Abstract: A light emitting element includes a light emitting element having a first face on which a first electrode and a second electrode are provided. Abstract: A lighting apparatus includes light emitting elements having an emission peak wavelength of 400 to 510 nm, a first phosphor having an emission peak wavelength of 485 to 700 nm, a second phosphor having an emission peak wavelength of 510 to 590 nm, a third phosphor having an emission peak wavelength of 600 to 700 nm, and a color filter having transmittance for light with a wavelength of 600 to 730 nm that is 80% or more and transmittance for light with a wavelength of 410 to 480 nm that is 3% or more and 50% or less. The color filter transmits a part of light emitted from the first phosphor, at least a part of light emitted from the second phosphor, and at least a part of light emitted from the third phosphor. Light transmitted through the color filter is emitted to the outside.

Abstract: A light emitting device is provided which includes a light emitting element, a phosphor, and a sealing member. The light emitting element has a light emission peak wavelength in the range not shorter than 400 nm and not longer than 460 nm. The phosphor can be excited by light from the light emitting element, and emit luminescent radiation with a light emission peak wavelength in the range in not shorter than 600 nm and not longer than 700 nm. The sealing member includes a pigment for absorbing a part of the light from the light emitting element. X of the light emission chromaticity of the light emitting device falls within the range of x≧0.600 in the chromaticity coordinates in the CIE 1931 color space chromaticity diagram.
