    摘要: The invention provides a system for controlling a vehicle engine according to a plurality of stored torque patterns for various vehicle operating environments, based upon the accelerator pedal position and the vehicle speed. A vehicle environment, detection unit evaluates the vehicle environment and a target drive shaft torque pattern is selected from the plurality of target drive shaft torque patterns stored in a torque pattern storage. A target drive shaft torque calculating unit determines a target drive shaft torque from the selected target drive shaft torque pattern, the detected accelerator pedal operating amount and the detected vehicle speed. Finally, an engine output calculator determines an engine output at which a vehicle drive shaft generates the target drive shaft torque, and outputs the determined engine output to an engine output control unit.

    摘要: A fuel vapor control device having a valve opening and closing a passage connecting a carburetor and a charcoal canister according to a predetermined temperature. A first coil spring formed by a "shape memory effect" alloy is provided to urge the valve to open the passage when the temperature is high. A second coil spring urges the valve to close the passage. A solenoid is provided to urge an armature against the valve to close the passage against the force of the first coil spring when the engine is running. The solenoid heats the first coil spring to generate a spring force therein when the engine is running. When the engine is turned off, the solenoid is deactivated, and the force of the first spring overcomes the force of the second spring to open the passage until such time as the temperature of the first spring drops below the predetermined temperature.

    摘要: An electronically-controlled cylinder fuel supply system in which an injector and an ignition plug are provided for each of combustion chambers, in which on the basis of an instruction signal to an engine and a speed of revolution of the engine, the fuel injection initiation timing and valve open duration of the injector, the ignition timing of the ignition plug and the quantity of suction air are determined through retrieval of values from a map stored in a ROM, in which a throttle valve is controlled such that the suction air quantity measured by an air flow meter coincides with the suction air quantity determined by the map retrieval, and in which the injector is provided with a fuel holding portion for temporarily holding the fuel injected during the lowered pressure of the combustion chamber and a vibration element for vibrating the fuel holding portion to atomize the fuel to thereby scatter the atomized fuel into the combustion chamber.

    摘要: A part of the air flowing through a main passage flows into a by-pass passage. A flow rate detector is provided in the by-pass passage. An outlet of the by-pass passage is opened at the narrowest portion of a venturi structure provided in the main passage. The by-pass passage is in communication with a pressure-accumulating chamber, which is in communication with the main passage at the portion thereof which is on the downstream side of the venturi structure. The pressure of the air flowing backward from the engine is stored in the pressure-accumulating chamber. The pressure in the pressure-accumulating chamber serves as a passage resistance with respect to the flow of the air in the by-pass passage. Accordingly, the flow rate detector permits determining the flow rate of the air, which does not contain a component representative of a backward flow of the air.
