摘要： A liquid ejection device includes: a drive waveform generator generating a drive waveform signal; a modulator performing pulse modulation on a signal from the drive waveform generator to provide a modulated signal; a digital power amplifier performing power amplification on the modulated signal to provide an amplified digital signal; a Lowpass Filter smoothing the amplified digital signal to provide a drive signal of an actuator; a compensator advancing the phase of the drive signal to provide a negative feedback signal; and a subtractor providing a differential signal between the drive waveform signal and the negative feedback signal as an input signal to the modulator.

摘要： With an apparatus according to the present invention, when an input color gamut is compressed to an output color gamut, based on the difference value between the lightness of paper white and the lightness at the maximum chroma in the output color gamut of a predetermined hue, if the lightness difference is below a predetermined threshold value, a compression convergence point is set at a position at which lightness is lower than or equal to the lightness at the maximum chroma in the output color gamut. This suppresses reduction of the gradation in the direction of input chroma, and makes it possible to compress the input color gamut to the output color gamut such that excellent color reproduction is achieved while the gradations of lightness and chroma in the input color space are maintained.

摘要： An area sensor and an area-sensor-equipped display device are provided which can clearly discriminate between the presence and absence of a finger or input pen touching a panel surface. A liquid crystal display device (100) of the present invention includes: a liquid crystal panel (position detecting section) (20), provided with a plurality of light sensor elements (30) that detects the intensity of received light, which detects the position of an input through detection of an image on a panel surface (detector surface) (100a) by the light sensor elements (30); and a reflectance changing section (45), provided on that side of the liquid crystal panel (20) which faces the panel surface (100a), which effects a change in reflectance of light when pressure is applied to the panel surface (100a). The liquid crystal display device includes: an infrared light blocking filter (90) and an ultraviolet light blocking filter (40a), both provided on that side of the reflectance changing section (45) which faces the panel surface (100a), which do not transmit infrared light and ultraviolet light, respectively; and visible light blocking filters (31) provided on those respective sides of the light sensor elements (30) which face the panel surface (100a), which do not transmit visible light.

摘要： A liquid crystal display device (100) of the present invention includes: a liquid crystal panel (20) including: an active matrix substrate (21); a counter substrate (22); and a liquid crystal layer (23) provided between the active matrix substrate (21) and the counter substrate (22); and a backlight (10) illuminating the liquid crystal panel. The liquid crystal display device (100) has an area sensor function for detecting an external input position, and further includes a reflectance changing section (50) that reduces a reflectance of light from the backlight (10) in response to application of pressure on a panel surface (100a). The reflectance changing section (50) is configured so that in a state where no pressure is applied on the panel surface (100a), an air layer (50c) is formed between two elastic films (50a and 50b) whereas in a state where pressure is applied on the panel surface (100a), the two elastic films (50a and 50b) contact each other.
