    摘要: In a combustion control device for an internal combustion engine provided with a plurality of fuel injection modes having different target air-fuel ratios, threshold values for detecting deterioration of combustion in the internal combustion engine are determined separately for each fuel injection mode depending on features of variation of combustion in the internal combustion engine in each fuel injection mode. Quantity of variation of combustion in the internal combustion engine is, for example, detected in the form of revolution angular acceleration or revolution angular acceleration deviation of the engine. The detected quantity of revolution fluctuation is compared with a threshold value in the currently chosen fuel injection mode. Thus, deterioration of combustion is surely judged according to each fuel injection mode. In particular, threshold values in a compression stroke injection mode are determined to be larger than threshold values in an intake stroke injection mode. A threshold value in the compression stroke injection mode is so determined as to substantively correspond to a complete misfire state of the engine, and threshold values in the intake stroke injection mode consist of a first threshold value substantively corresponding to a complete misfire state of the engine and a second threshold value substantively corresponding to an unstable combustion state of the engine.

    摘要: An idle speed control apparatus includes an electronic control unit connected to sensors and switches for detecting the on-off states of an air conditioner and other devices, throttle opening, engine speed, etc. The electronic control unit selectively drives fuel injection valves for adjusting the injection quantity, air bypass valve for adjusting the suction rate, and/or EGR valve for adjusting the exhaust gas recirculation rate in accordance with an engine load detected by the sensors and switches, thereby selectively executing air-fuel ratio adjustment, suction rate adjustment, and/or exhaust gas recirculation rate adjustment as required, giving priority to the air-fuel ratio adjustment and suction rate adjustment in the order named. Thus, idle speed control to cope with engine load fluctuations can be carried out with stability.

The HUB includes therein a power feed section. The power feed section and the power feed lines of each cable are connected to measure a value of current which flows in the power feed lines. If it is judged based on the measured current value that the terminal connected to the corresponding cable is a telephone terminal, the power feeding to the corresponding power feed lines is continued. On the other hand, if the terminal is judged to be a terminal other than the telephone terminal, the power feeding is stopped.

    摘要: An engine control unit of a control apparatus for an in-cylinder injection internal combustion engine sets a fuel injection timing for a compression-stroke injection mode in accordance with a fuel injection quantity, and corrects the fuel injection timing according to an engine cooling water temperature. When the cooling water temperature is lower than a temperature observed when a warm-up operation is completed, the fuel injection timing for the compression-stroke injection mode is corrected for advance or retard on the basis of the engine characteristic proper, and fuel is injected at an appropriate time such that the fuel evaporation rate and the fuel stratification degree which permit the stabilized combustion of the fuel injected into the combustion chamber are attained, whereby the fuel is evaporated satisfactorily. Thus, the occurrence of misfire and the emission of harmful gas components can be restrained effectively during the warm-up operation in the compression-stroke injection mode.

    摘要: In a fuel blending ratio detecting method, a first blending ratio of the methanol in the fuel supplied to an internal combustion engine is detected by a blending ratio sensor; an air/fuel ratio feedback compensation coefficient computed on the basis of an output of an O.sub.2 sensor is used to compute a feedback learned value, and the current blending ratio compensation coefficient is multiplied by this value to compute the next blending ratio compensation coefficient so as to obtain a second blending ratio; the current blending ratio compensation coefficient is multiplied by a peak mean value of the computed feedback compensation coefficient to compute the next blending ratio compensation coefficient so as to obtain a third blending ratio; and the first, second or third blending ratio is selected according to the operating conditions of the internal combustion engine. Thus, the selected blending ratio is always used as the control blending ratio very close to the true ratio, so that the internal combustion engine can be accurately controlled.
