Abstract:
A pipeline filter assembly comprising a base assembly, an outer wall, and a lid assembly. The outer wall has a lower end portion and an upper end portion, wherein the upper end portion comprises a lower collar, and the lower collar comprises at least one lock notch spaced around an exterior surface thereof. The lid assembly is configured to couple to the lower collar of the outer wall. The lid assembly has an upper collar configured to mate with the lower collar. The upper collar has at least one housing that is coupled to the upper collar, and at least one biasing clip pivotally mounted within the housing for releasable engagement with the lock notch. A pair of pipeline filter assemblies, wherein at least one connection plate is used.
Abstract:
An oil strainer support structure for an internal combustion engine capable of improving the maintainability of an oil strainer is provided. In an oil strainer support structure for an internal combustion engine having an oil strainer, the oil strainer is supported by a drain bolt provided in the internal combustion engine. The oil strainer can be detached by removing the drain bolt to improve maintainability.
Abstract:
Flexible housing filters for filtration of fluids and methods of making such filters are disclosed. The filters may include one or more peripheral seals in the flexible housing.
Abstract:
An industrial filtering device is provided, including a shell body, having a receiving space, an outlet portion and an inlet portion, the outlet portion and the inlet portion respectively communicating with the receiving space, the inlet portion and the outlet portion defining a flow passage therebetween; a filter, including a PP filter material, the filter received in the receiving space and laterally arranged in the flow passage, the filter being pre-wetted and having an outer diameter which is between 75 mm to 88 mm.
Abstract:
A waste/sediment collecting container has a front vertical wall, a back vertical wall, two side vertical walls, and a sloped bottom surface. Along the lowest portion of the sloped floor surface lays a debris grate which allows water and pieces of sediment to pass through (but prevents larger pieces of waste from passing). The collection container includes a sump directly beneath the debris grate for collecting heavy sediment which passes through the grate. Sloped walls along the sides of the sump lead to U-traps on both sides of the container that allow liquid to pass through but prevent any solid waste from leaving the sump. Solid waste may be removed from the sump by removing the threaded service cap from the drain hole. Located beyond the traps are filter chambers having drain holes for inserting sediment filters which liquid passes through and exits the container.
Abstract:
A spin-on filter assembly is comprised of a plastic can and a plastic base wherein the plastic base is threaded into the can and secured in place by a rib on the base which seats within a V-shaped slot in the can. In order to have the base separable from the can so the filter may be rebuilt upon removing and replacing the filter element containing the filter media, the rib on the base has both a leading and trailing frustoconical surface. The trailing frustoconical surface on the base enables the base to cam the open end of the housing apart when the base is unscrewed from the can so as to allow the base to be separable from the can. In an alternative configuration, the base has a rib with a flat trailing surface that extends perpendicular to the base. Consequently, there is no base surface provided for caming the open end of the can apart by engaging complimentary frustoconical portion of the groove in the can.
Abstract:
A housing assembly, portable filter system using the housing assembly and methods of mounting a filter element in a housing assembly are provided. The housing assembly is usable with filter elements of different types. The housing assembly includes a housing body having an open end and being attached to a filter head. The filter head includes a first housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate with a filter element of the first type and a second housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate with a filter element of the second type. A cover member removably attaches to the housing body and includes a third housing sealing interface configured to sealingly mate the filter element of the second.
Abstract:
A filter unit and a filter cage, the filter unit comprising a filter chamber and a filter cage. The filter chamber comprises opposing first and second end walls, a sidewall therebetween, and an opening in the second end wall. The filter cage is rotatable in the filter unit and comprises a sidewall comprising filter media and an opening at a first end for the filter cage. The filter cage is removable via the opening in the filter chamber. The filter chamber further comprises an inlet to pass feed liquid into the filter cage via the opening and an outlet for filtered liquid. The filter unit further comprises a drive shaft to rotate the filter cage. A connection member in the filter chamber forms a rotary seal and a detachable connection to the filter cage. This arrangement permits removal and emptying of the filter cage a single operation amongst other benefits. In alternative aspects a filter cage comprises a moveable member and a user operable portion for extraction of filtered microparticles through the opening.
