Abstract: Disclosed are means, compounds, and compositions of matter useful for stimulation of natural killer cell activity. On one embodiment a composition termed QuadraMune™ comprised of pterostilbene, Nigella sativa extract, green tea extract, and broccoli. In some embodiments the invention teaches the administration of a therapeutic combination of ingredients comprising of metformin, pterostilbene, Nigella sativa, sulforaphane, and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) to a mammal in need of natural killer cell immune modulation. In another embodiment, the invention teaches administration of said therapeutic combination to a mammal infected with said SARS-CoV-2. In some embodiments dosage of said therapeutic combination is based on inflammatory and/or immunological parameters observed in patients with COVID-19.

Abstract: In order to inhibit the growth of fungi, such as Madurella mycetomatis, gold nanoparticles are synthesized and capped with an extract of Reseda arabica. The gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica are made by adding the extract of Reseda arabica to an aqueous sodium tetrachloroaurate (NaAuCl4) solution to reduce the sodium tetrachloroaurate and form a suspension of gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica. The extract of Reseda arabica acts as a reducing and stabilizing agent while also functionalizing the surfaces of the gold nanoparticles to cap the surfaces. The suspension may be boiled, followed by removal of the gold nanoparticles capped with the extract of Reseda arabica from the suspension. To treat a Madurella mycetomatis infection, an effective dose of the gold nanoparticles capped with Reseda arabica extract may be administered to a patient in need thereof.

Abstract: The present invention provides compositions formulated for topical administration to a penis of a person to enhance sexual responsiveness in the person, to enhance sexual performance, erection and stamina, and to increase the physical size of the penis, where the compositions comprise active components from herbal or plant origin including maca, tongkat ali, cordyceps, ginseng, fructus schisandrae. morinda root, rhodiola, rosea cordyceps sinensis, ginger, jasmine, sandalwood, leeks, camellia seed, jojoba oil and cannabidiol. The preferred composition is in the form of a massage oil, to be applied topically to the skin of the penis.

Abstract: The instant invention refers to nanosystems comprising nanocomposites for adsorption or support of natural extracts; a process for the preparation thereof; formulations containing thereof, as well as a nanomaterial that adsorbs one or more essential oils in its surface. Specially, one object of the invention is the encapsulation of natural extracts, i.e., essential oils and/or natural pure bioactive compounds and optionally terpenoid, sesquiterpenoid, diterpenoid, sesterterpenoid, triterpenoid, carotenoid, and ricinoid compounds; complementary acids, and polysaccharides; vitamins, and other organic compounds, in mesoporous materials for application in different industries such as food, agricultural, veterinary, aquacultural, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection industries, as well as in medicine.

Abstract: The way the SARS-CoV-2 virus infects the cell is a complex process and comprises four main stages: attachment to the cognate receptor, cellular entry, replication and cellular egress. Targeting binding of the virus to the host receptor in order to prevent its entry has been of particular interest. We tested 56 polyphenols, including plant extracts, brazilin, theaflavin-3,3′-digallate, and curcumin displayed the highest binding with the receptor-binding domain of spike protein, inhibiting viral attachment to the human angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor, and thus cellular entry of pseudo-typed SARS-CoV-2 virions. Both, theaflavin-3,3′-digallate at 25 μg/ml and curcumin above 10 μg/ml concentration, showed binding with the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor reducing at the same time its activity in both cell-free and cell-based assays. Our study also demonstrates that brazilin and theaflavin-3, 3′-digallate, curcumin, decrease the activity of transmembrane serine protease 2 both in cell-free and cell-based assays and moderately increased endosomal/lysosomal pH.

Abstract: A tincture composition includes gel-free sea moss extract; about 80-90% by volume glycerin; about 10-18% by volume ethanol; and about 0.5-1.5% cinnamon oil. The total amount of glycerin, ethanol, and cinnamon oil is 100%. A method of producing the composition includes soaking sea moss in water; drying the sea moss; immersing the sea moss fully in glycerin; providing an extraction blend; blending the sea moss, the glycerin, and the extraction blend to form a suspension; straining the suspension to extract a tincture; and heating the tincture at 50-200 degrees Fahrenheit for 1-24 hours. The extraction blend includes, per 1 part by volume glycerin: 1/16 to 2 parts by volume ethanol and 1/100 to ¼ parts by volume of cinnamon oil. The tincture composition has an excellent shelf life and improved palatability. A binding agent may be added to prevent separation.
