Abstract: A system for performing biological reactions is provided. The system includes a chip including a substrate and a plurality of reaction sites. The plurality of reaction sites are each configured to include a liquid sample of at most one nanoliter. Further, the system includes a control system configured to initiate biological reactions within the liquid samples. The system further includes a detection system configured to detect biological reactions on the chip. According to various embodiments, the chip includes at least 20000 reaction sites. In other embodiments, the chip includes at least 30000 reaction sites.

Abstract: In some embodiments, the disclosure relates generally to methods, as well as related systems, compositions, kits, apparatuses and computer-readable media, comprising a multiplex molecular tagging procedure that employs a plurality of tags that are appended to a plurality of polynucleotides. The tags have characteristics, including a sequence, length and/or detectable moiety, or any other characteristic, that uniquely identifies the polynucleotide molecule to which it is appended, and permits tracking individual tagged molecules in a mixture of tagged molecules. For example, the tag having a unique tag sequence, can uniquely identify an individual polynucleotide to which it is appended, and distinguish the individual polynucleotide from other tagged polynucleotides in a mixture. In some embodiments, the multiplex molecular tagging procedure can be used for generating error-corrected sequencing data and for detecting a target polynucleotide which is present at low abundance in a nucleic acid sample.

Abstract: A method is provided to sample a sensor array. The method can include measuring a waveform associated with a chemical event occurring on the sensor array. The waveform can include at least one region associated with expected measured values and at least one region associated with unpredictable measured values. The method can also include applying a first frame averaging to the at least one region associated with the expected measured values. Here, a first number of frames can be included in the first frame averaging. Further, the method can include applying a second frame averaging to the at least one region associated with the unpredictable measured values, where a second number of frames can be included in the second frame averaging. The second number of frames can be less than the first number of frames.
