    Abstract: According to one embodiment, a display device includes first and second base electrodes, a rib, first and second lower electrodes, first and second organic layers, and an upper electrode. A peripheral portion of each of the first base electrode and the second base electrode is covered with the rib. Each of the first base electrode and the second base electrode is formed of a first metal material. A peripheral portion of each of the first lower electrode and the second lower electrode is located on the rib. Each of the first lower electrode and the second lower electrode is formed of a second metal material different from the first metal material. A thickness of the first lower electrode is different from a thickness of the second lower electrode.

    Abstract: According to one embodiment, an illumination device comprises a first mounting board including a plurality of first light emitting elements, a second mounting board including a plurality of second light emitting elements, and a first wiring board including a first wiring line electrically connected to at least one of the plurality of first light emitting elements and the plurality of second light emitting elements.     Abstract: Provided is a mounting structure for a transparent liquid crystal display device that is placed in a glass window in which a periphery of a first glass plate is accommodated in and held by a first frame member. In the mounting structure, the transparent liquid crystal display device is affixed to the first glass plate by a transparent adhesive sheet and has a display region and a terminal region. The terminal region is accommodated in the first frame member, and a light source including an LED and a driver IC are placed in the terminal region. A heat conduction sheet is placed between the light source and the driver IC on one hand and the first frame member on the other hand and is acted upon by pressure by which the heat conduction sheet is pressed against the light source and the driver IC.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel with pixels; a dimming panel with dimming pixels; and a light source. When a pixel is controlled to be lit in white and a predetermined condition is satisfied, a blurring region is formed, and light from the light source is transmitted through the blurring region and the pixel. When a pixel is controlled to be lit up in white and the predetermined condition is not satisfied, the blurring region is not formed, the dimming pixel overlapping the pixel on a straight line along a direction in which the display panel faces the dimming panel is controlled to transmit light, and light from the light source is transmitted through the dimming pixel and the pixel. The predetermined condition is satisfied when the pixel controlled to be lit in white is at a predetermined distance or farther from an outer edge of a display area.
