Abstract:
A slurry composition includes about 4.25 to about 18.5 weight percent of an abrasive, about 80 to about 95 weight percent of deionized water, and about 0.05 to about 1.5 weight percent of an additive. The slurry composition may further include a surfactant. In a polishing method using the slurry composition, a polysilicon layer may be rapidly polished, and also dishing and erosion of the polysilicon layer may be suppressed.
Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for navigating content larger than a display screen of a terminal using a pointing device are provided. The method includes acquiring, when a pointing position is changed on a screen partially displaying a content that is larger than the screen, a current pointing position by tracking the change of the pointing position, comparing an X axis displacement and a Y axis displacement from an initial pointing position as a starting position to the current pointing position with a predefined X axis threshold value and Y axis threshold value, respectively, determining a movement direction as one of an X axis, a Y axis, and an XY (diagonal) axis directions based on the comparison result, and scrolling the content in the movement direction to display an off-screen part of the content.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus are provided for transmitting and receiving reference signals through distributed antennas deployed within a service area of a base station in a mobile communication system. First control information, including at least two scrambling factor combinations, is received at a terminal from the base station. Second control information, indicating one of the at least two scrambling factor combinations, is received at the terminal from the base station. The one of the at least two scrambling factor combinations is selected based on the second control information. An initial value of a demodulation reference signal sequence is calculated using the selected scrambling factor combination. The demodulation reference signal sequence is received using the initial value.
Abstract:
An apparatus to manipulate a broadcast receiving device using a portable terminal obtains location information of a portable device and determines if any broadcast receiving devices and broadcast providing services are available at the location. The apparatus displays a user interface that allows a user to manipulate the broadcast receiving devices and broadcast providing services. Further, the apparatus detects a change in location of the portable terminal and may update the list of broadcast receiving devices and broadcast providing services that may be manipulated. A method for manipulating the broadcast receiving device includes obtaining the location of a portable terminal, collecting broadcast program information for broadcast receiving devices in the location, generating a user interface based on the broadcast program information and generating a signal to manipulate the device based on a user input into the user interface.
Abstract:
The objective of the present invention is to control the HARQ process for two codewords assigned to each UE in downlink of the LTE-A system efficiently. In the proposed method, particularly when one of the two codewords is decoded successfully but the other is not in the HARQ process, the UE can be scheduled for both the retransmission and initial transmission by means of the control signal of PDCCH or ACK/NACK information of PHICHs. The proposed method is capable of reducing resource amount necessary for the control signal transmission without increasing the PDCCH decoding complexity of the UE.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for selecting and allocating antennas efficiently are provided. The method includes transmitting, to a User Equipment (UE), information indicating a configuration of a plurality of Channel Status Information Reference Signals (CSI-RSs) through UE specific signaling during an initial access attempt with the UE; receiving, from the UE, CSI-RS measurement results indicating configured CSI-RSs; transmitting CSI-RSs corresponding to a set of available distributed ports (D-ports) based on received signal strength information included in results of the CSI-RS measurement; and determining a CSI-RS of a selected D-port set for use in communications based on feedback information received from the UE.
Abstract:
A per-layer and per-antenna uplink power control method for MIMO transmission of PUSCH in a Long Term Evolution-Advanced (LTE-A) system is provided. A transmit power for a plurality of transmit antennas is calculated based on a power control parameter received in a downlink. Uplink data is transmitted through the plurality of transmit antennas by applying the transmit power to each of a plurality of codewords.

A light emitting diode (LED) package using a liquid crystal polymer, includes: a package main body formed by using a liquid crystal polymer; a lead frame formed on the package main body; an LED chip mounted on the lead frame; and a resin packaging unit encapsulating the LED chip, the resin packaging unit including phosphors. The LED package is highly reliable.
Abstract:
There is provided a light emitting device package including: a package body providing a chip mounting area and including first and second lead terminals; an LED chip mounted on the chip mounting area and electrically connected to the first and second lead terminals; a groove portion disposed around the LED chip in the chip mounting area; and a wavelength conversion portion formed of a resin containing a wavelength conversion material with which to enclose the LED chip and having an outer shape defined by the groove portion.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an electrolyte comprising (a) a eutectic mixture of an amide compound represented by the following chemical formula 1 or 2 and an ionizable lithium salt; and (b) a nitrile compound. The eutectic mixture and the nitrile compound in the electrolyte contribute to excellent thermal and chemical stability and sufficiently low viscosity and high ion conductivity. The electrolyte can be usefully applied as an electrolyte of electrochemical devices.
