Abstract:
Methods (100) are provided for fabricating a ferroelectric capacitor in a semiconductor device wafer, comprising forming (118) a lower electrode, depositing (126) PZT ferroelectric material on the lower electrode at a temperature below 450 degrees C., and forming (128) an upper electrode on the PZT. Methods are also provided for fabricating a ferroelectric memory cell in a semiconductor device wafer, comprising forming (106) a transistor in the wafer, forming (108) a nickel silicide structure on the gate or a source/drain of the transistor, forming (110) a dielectric over the transistor, forming (112) a conductive contact extending through the dielectric to the silicide structure, forming (114, 116, 118, 120) a lower electrode on at least a portion of the conductive contact, forming (126) PZT ferroelectric material above and in contact with the lower electrode at a temperature below 450 degrees C., forming (128, 132) an upper electrode above and in contact with the PZT, and patterning (134) the upper electrode, the PZT, and the lower electrode to form a patterned ferroelectric capacitor.
Abstract:
Disclosed are electrolyte compositions for depositing tin-copper alloys that are substantially free of lead. Also disclosed are methods of plating tin-copper alloys that are substantially free of lead on substrates and uses for such plated substrates.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for coupling a respiratory cannula with a medical effector system. The coupling device consists of a plate with several ports for receiving respired gases from the respiratory cannula and for delivering oxygen or air to the respiratory cannula. The coupling device may directly or indirectly deliver the respired gases to a capnometry device located in the medical effector system. Also included is a port for delivering an audio signal from the medical effector system to an audio earpiece disposed proximate the ear of a patient.
Abstract:
Disclosed is an oxygen delivery device for regulating the flow of oxygen from an oxygen source to a respiratory cannula located on the face of a patient. A host controller coupled to the oxygen delivery device accepts an input from a medical monitor relating to the blood oxygen saturation percentage of the patient. The host controller then regulates the rate of oxygen supplied to the patient based in part upon the blood oxygen saturation percentage of the patient. A high rate of oxygen is supplied to the patient when the controller detects a blood oxygen saturation level below a predetermined percentage and a low rate of oxygen is supplied when the controller detects a blood oxygen saturation level above a predetermined percentage in an order to minimize wasted oxygen.
Abstract:
An improved solution for verifying access to a data object. In particular, the invention automatically determines when access to the data object requires verification and provides an owner of the data object a set of current users for verification. The set of current users can include all or a subset of the users/user groups that have access to the data object. Additionally, an indication of one or more attributes of each user can be provided to the owner to assist in verification. Access information can be updated based on a response from the owner.
Abstract:
An improved fluid dispenser specially adapted to provide sample-size amounts of a fluid mixture is shown and described. An automated closure and seal system is provided for the manifold that moves, on command from a controller, from a closed or sealed position thereby limiting exposure of the manifold and fluid outlet nozzles from the ambient atmosphere, to a dispense system where a sample-size container is held up against and engaging a lower end of the manifold for a sealing element disposed on a lower portion of the manifold. When the dispense is complete, the system automatically moves back toward a closed position where the filled container is held open and ready to be removed by a technician before it is capped and labeled. An improved shelving system is also provided for housing a large quantity of different ingredients conveniently within a relatively compact cabinet thereby making the system suitable for a retail environment. An improved method of preparing a sample quantity of a fluid mixture is also disclosed.
Abstract:
Systems and apparatus are described for modifying fluid flow in a hard disk drive system to reduce cross-track motion. The systems and methods provide advantages because they include at least one flow modification element. In some embodiments, the flow modification system comprises a set of approximately parallel combs occupying a portion of the space present in between the disks in the hard disk drive system. The combs change the flow pattern of the fluid and act as a momentum channeling mechanism relative to the actuator assembly and suspension assemblies resulting in a considerable reduction in track misregistration error. Various embodiments of the invention include baffle-integrated combs, fixture-integrated combs, contoured enclosure surfaces, and enclosure attached combs.
Abstract:
Disclosed are a method of and system for enterprise-wide migration. The method comprises the steps of creating instances of databases for a migration, for billing and reporting, and repositing reports; gathering information on the organization, location, hardware, and software affected by said migration into a database for planning said migration; and building an inventory of the affected hardware and software using an inventory tracking tool or an inventory mailer. Migration hardware and software is ordered based on said planning and said inventory, using an inventory tool; and labor, hardware, and software as installed are tracked and billed, using said billing and reporting database. Agents for said creating, gathering, building and tracking are enabled using an agent control facility.
Abstract:
A fully automated method and apparatus is disclosed to laminate various structural articles with multiple layers of a resin impregnated fiber tape. The fiber tape is deposited with a tape laying member moving alternately in different travel directions. The tape laying member removes all backing layers from the tape being employed, then deposits the unbacked tape on the surface of the structural article and finally severs the end of the tape being deposited. An automated cut and restart procedure is employed in the present apparatus to increase throughput.
Abstract:
A fluid dispense system having a computer control system that operatively controls a stepper motor driving a nutating pump. The stepper motor actuates the nutating pump piston through partial revolutions. The computer control system determines the number of stepper motor steps required to pump a desired amount of fluid by the nutating pump by rotating the piston through segments which are less than a full revolution.
