摘要: A pair of substrates is disposed in parallel at a gap distance therebetween. Liquid crystal material containing liquid crystal molecules having negative dielectric anisotropy is filled in between the substrates. The liquid crystal molecules are homeotropically aligned. On the opposing surface of one of the substrates, pixel electrodes are disposed in a matrix form and data bus lines and gate bus lines are disposed. The gate bus line passes an inner area of each pixel electrode. Switching elements are formed on the opposing surface of the substrate. Each switching element is controlled by the gate bus line at another row. Protrusions are formed on the opposing surface of one of the substrates. The protrusions divide an area of the pixel electrode into a plurality of areas and each is bent on the gate bus line. A domain border regulating unit is formed on the opposing surface of the other of the substrates. The protrusions and domain border regulating unit define the borders of each domain.

摘要: A thermal transfer sheet is comprises a substrate sheet, a dye layer of at least one color, a white layer to cover an image-receiving portion of a receiving material after an image is formed therein, and if necessary, a transferable receptor layer to be transferred to the image-receiving portion of the receiving material before the formation of the image, those layers being alternately disposed side by side on a surface of the substrate sheet, wherein said white layer being capable of adhering to the image-receiving portion already provided with the image and being disposed on the substrate sheet via a peeling layer interposed therebetween. The white layer has a white screenability to provide excellent light diffusivity and light transmissivity for a background of the printed image. The white layer may be formed by applying a coating liquid containing an adhesive binder resin and a white pigment or a coating liquid containing a binder resin, an adhesive, and a white pigment on the peeling layer.

摘要: A photographing box is arranged to reduce a time taken from photographing an object to printing the image of the object. The photographing box is intended to be manufactured at low cost and more easily maintained. The photographing box includes a photographing mechanism house for housing a photographing mechanism and a photographing space section. If paid, the photographing device is operated to illuminate an object, photograph the object, and do some image processing like image magnification or reduction or image layout. Plural images sized for different uses are output on one cut sheet by a sublimation transfer printer. The photographing box operates to print out the image at high speed, and is manufactured at low cost and more easily maintained.

摘要: Provided is two kind of thermal transfer sheets comprising a substrate and a white transfer layer, the white transfer layer being to be transferred onto an image-formed portion of an image-receiving sheet. In the one kind, white transfer layer includes a white ink layer containing a white pigment and/or a filler, and has a total light transmittance of 30 to 95% and a haze of 30 to 95% due to the white ink layer. In another kind, the white transfer layer includes a white ink layer and a peeling layer, the white ink layer containing a white pigment and/or a filler, the peeling layer laminated between the white ink layer and the substrate, and capable of causing a cohesive failure thereby converting into an irregular surface of a printed material through a transferring process. The present invention also provides printed materials by the using of the thermal transfer sheets described above and recording methods for producing of the printed materials. The printed material can be used as an electric-decorating display member.

摘要: A wheel cover having resin main body obtained by injecting a molten resin into a closed mold consisting of at least two dies, curing the resin, and then separating the dies. Openings are formed through the wheel cover, and inclined decorative faces are formed around each opening. A transfer layer is transferred onto the front face of the main body simultaneously when the resin main body is molded by means of in-mold transferring. The boundary between the decorative faces of the wheel cover and the openings is the parting line where the dies are separated from each other. The inner diameters of the openings are tapered to facilitate die separation and removal.

摘要: A decorative transfer material includes a base film, a decorative metal vapor deposition layer, a metallic reinforcing layer covering the whole rear face of the metal vapor deposition layer to thereby reinforce the metal vapor deposition layer, a retainer layer for securing the metallic reinforcing layer to the base film, and an adhesive layer for bonding the metallic reinforcing layer to a to-be-decorated object molded by resin. The metallic reinforcing layer is formed of a metallic powder resin layer or a metallic foil layer. After the transfer material is set in dies for injection molding, the dies are closed. Simultaneously with formation of synthetic resin injected into the in-mold dies, the resin is bonded with the metallic reinforcing layer of the transfer material by the adhesive layer. Thereafter, the in-mold dies are opened and the base film of the transfer material is removed, whereby a decorated article is obtained.

摘要: An active matrix display device of an improved and simplified configuration and a driving method for the same are disclosed. The display device according to the present invention is characterized in that data bus lines and scan bus lines are separately formed on first and second transparent substrates respectively and the drain electrode of each TFT on the second substrate is connected to the scan bus line to be addressed next. This configuration eliminates earth bus lines of the prior art. This arrangement has effects of simplifying a bus line design and obtaining a higher yield and an increased opening rate for each display element. In order to drive the above device, an address pulse having a stepped waveform is used. Each address pulse has Vgon, Vgc, and Vgoff levels, and a width of two horizontal scan time. The first step of address pulse Vgc corresponds to the address time of the adjacent scan bus line to be scanned previously; and the second step Vgon corresponds to the address time for the TFT to be scanned. The present invention discloses a voltage relation for waveforms of the address pulse and data pulse in order to obtain a high quality display.
