摘要： An anti-vibration bush comprises: an outer casing adapted to be mounted on either a vibration generating member or a vibration receiving member; a shaft disposed in the outer casing and adapted to be mounted on the other member; and an elastic member disposed between the outer casing and the shaft and having a plurality of small liquid chambers filled with electrorheologic fluid. Electrodes for electrically activating the electrorheologic fluid are provided in a restricted path which permits the small liquid chambers to be in communication with each other. The electrical activation of the electrodes causes the fluid's viscosity to vary, so that the resistance to flow of the fluid passing through the restricted path is changed.

摘要： A data and power transmitting/receiving system applicable to a home automation system. Plural terminal units and associated communication units are connected via a common signal bus. Each terminal unit may operate an electrical load to be controlled remotely, and may include control switches for operating such loads at a number of remote locations. Each communication unit generates an n-bit data signal, each bit corresponding to the desired function of a corresponding terminal unit. A sync signal is combined with the data signal in time sequence such that the respective communication units can identify which signal operates which terminal unit. The sync signals also can supply DC power to ther respective communication units.

摘要： A warning mechanism for detecting brake shoe wear is adapted to be fitted into a recess formed on the rear face of a brake shoe such that when the front face of the shoe, which undergoes frictional engagement during braking, is worn to a sufficient extent, a defaceable detection wire in the warning mechanism will be ruptured to provide an indication of depletion of the braking material of the shoe. The detector element is removably secured within the recess of the brake shoe and is located such that it will not be dislodged by a braking force applied to the brake shoe by a piston of the brake assembly but will, instead, be held in position thereby.

摘要： An image processing apparatus includes an image reception unit, a determination unit, a display unit, a correction accepting unit and a criterion modifying unit. The image reception unit receives a plurality of images. The determination unit determines whether each image received by the image reception unit corresponds to a separator image that represents a separator of a document based on a criterion and outputs a detection result. The display unit displays the detection result output by the determination unit. The correction accepting unit accepts correction of the displayed detection result in accordance with an operation performed by a user. The criterion modifying unit modifies the criterion based on the accepted correction. The determination unit re-determines whether each image received by the image reception unit corresponds to the separator image based on the criterion after the criterion is modified by the criterion modifying unit.
