In a method for making extensible artificial leather, a substrate is supported on in-extensible woven cloth and firmly located on a coating machine. A highly solid-containing water-based polyurethane resin is coated on the substrate to form a middle layer with tiny open cells. The middle layer is dried, and the woven cloth is removed from the substrate. A superficial layer of polyurethane is attached to the middle layer in a dry process so that the extensible artificial leather is made with excellent strength against peeling, abrasion and dissolution.

A core-sheath fiber has a core and a sheath. The core comprises 0.1 to 10 wt % of carbon black pigment particles. The sheath surrounds the core preventing the core from being exposed. Because the carbon black pigment particles are mainly distributed in the core and the core is surrounded by the sheath with little or no carbon black pigment particles, a surface of the core-sheath fiber has low friction and electrical conductivity. Therefore, a lifetime of a punch needle used in machinery to produce a nonwoven is maintained and the nonwoven can undergo high frequency treatment to form artificial leather. Additionally, the sheath has little or no carbon black pigment particles, so the sheath is improved compatibility with polyurethane (PU) used for high frequency treatment.

The present invention mainly relates to a polishing pad comprising a base material comprising fibers; a membrane with low permeability; a two-component paste formed on the upper surface of the membrane with low permeability for adhering the base material to the membrane with low permeability; and a polyurethane paste formed on the lower surface of the membrane with low permeability. A method of polishing a substrate comprising using the polishing pad and a method for manufacturing the polishing pad as described above are also provided. The polishing pad as mentioned above prevents the polishing pad from detaching from the polishing platen or head. The polishing pad is easy to be replaced without leaving residues on the polishing platen or head.

Firstly, polyurethane resin with solid content higher than 50% is mixed with additives in order to form polyurethane resin compound that is liquid at the normal temperature. Then, the polyurethane resin compound is coated on releasing paper and dried. Then, the releasing paper is removed in order to make a substrate. Then, the substrate is put in a physical vapor deposition system in which metal is used as a target. Finally, the metal is sputtered to the substrate in order to form a metallic film, thus making a macromolecular laminate.

The artificial leather is characterized in including the intermediate layer made of a high solid-content polyurethane resin compound added with a chlorine-free flame-proof agent. The high solid-content polyurethane resin compound is made through mixing the chlorine-free flame-proof agent, polyurethane resin with a solid-content higher than 50% and a curing agent. Moreover, a process is disclosed for making the flame-proof environmentally friendly artificial leather.

The surface layer is made of TPU material, and the surface layer is disposed to cover the yarn layer. The above layers of the TPU ball structure are made of TPU material to satisfy a requirement for environmental protection, and are recyclable.
