Disclosed is an antistatic composition comprising a base resin comprising polyethylene or ethylene copolymers, an ethylene copolymer comprising amine-reactive sites and a polyetheramine and articles thereof. The ethylene copolymer comprising amine-reactive sites and the polyetheramine react to provide a graft copolymer.

A composition based on a polypropylene homopolymer and/or copolymer for preparing caps for carbonated drinks has enhanced properties of rigidity and leak-tightness without the need for using additional seals. The composition includes: 85.65 to 97.87 parts of a polypropylene homopolymer and/or copolymer; 1.5 to 12 parts of an ethylene-octene and/or ethylene-methyl acrylate elastomer, and an additive selected from 0.3 to 1.2 parts of a lubricating and/or sliding agent; 0.05 to 0.3 parts of a nucleation agent; 0.08 to 0.25 parts of an antioxidant and/or antistatic agent, and 0.2 to 0.6 parts of an antistatic agent. The polypropylene polymer is selected from a polypropylene homopolymer and has an isotacticity greater than 94% and a MFR of 0.5-7 g/10 min, and/or the polypropylene copolymer is selected from a heterophasic copolymer (ethylene-propylene) and has an isotacticity greater than 88% and a MFR of 0.5-7 g/10 min and/or mixtures of same.

The present invention provides a conductive polymer composition which contains (A) a polyaniline-based conductive polymer having a repeating unit represented by the general formula (1), (B) a polyanion, and (C) a betaine compound, wherein RA1 to RA4 independently represent a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, or a linear, branched, or cyclic monovalent hydrocarbon group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms and optionally containing a heteroatom; and RA1 and RA2, or RA3 and RA4 may be bonded to each other to form a ring. There can be provided a conductive polymer composition that has excellent antistatic performance and applicability, does not adversely affect a resist, and can be suitably used in lithography using electron beam or the like.

Disclosed are an antistatic agent which does not impair the appearance and the mechanical strength of a molded article and which provides sufficient permanent antistatic properties to the molded article even when added in a small amount, and an antistatic resin composition containing the same. The antistatic agent (Z) includes: a block polymer (A) containing a block of hydrophobic polymer (a) and a block of hydrophilic polymer (b) as constituent units; and an organic fluorine-modified polyolefin (B). The antistatic resin composition is obtained by containing the antistatic agent in a thermoplastic resin (C).

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of a lactone or lactam homopolymer, comprising the stage consisting in reacting a lactone or lactam with a nonpolymeric initiator comprising at least one hydroxyl or thiol functional group in a nonchlorinated solvent in the presence of a sulfonic acid of formula R—SO3H.It also relates to the polymer composition thus obtained and to its uses, in particular as antistatic additive.

Additives to organic conducting polymers are described which enhance adhesion and resolution of printed films while retaining adequate electrical conductivity. The conductive polymer films are useful in printing conductive portions of thin film transistors such as sources and drains. Additives include surfactants, second macromolecules, plasticizers, and excess sulfonic acids.

An antistatic molded article obtained only by coating a substrate with an antistatic paint, which antistatic molded article has smooth surface, does not deteriorate the transparency and coloration of substrate and excels in antistatic properties. In particular, an antistatic molded article comprising a substrate of complex configuration such as three-dimensional configuration having irregularity and, superimposed thereon, an antistatic layer. There is also provided an antistatic paint whose application is easy, which antistatic paint does not need any after treatment and excels in transparency, surface smoothness and antistatic properties. More specifically, there are provided an antistatic molded article comprising a substrate and, superimposed on a surface thereof, an antistatic layer from an antistatic paint containing a conductive metal oxide, which antistatic molded article exhibits a surface resistivity of 1×104 to 1×109 Ω/□ and a surface roughness (Ra) of 5 to 50 nm; and an antistatic paint for use therein.

An anionic surfactant having a thermal weight loss initiation temperature of at least 250° C. is incorporated with a thermoplastic resin comprising a graft copolymer formed by graft-polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer onto a rubber trunk polymer obtained by emulsion polymerization using a carboxylic acid-type surfactant. As a result, it is possible to obtain an antistatic resin composition which can be effectively produced on an industrial scale and can provide a shaped product excellent in permanent antistatic property and free from haze or discoloration even when processed under severe processing conditions.
