摘要: A spectrometer capable of providing information, to a measurer, necessary for determining whether a sample set to the spectrometer is a sample expected by the measurer or not before a main measurement includes a data processor and a display. The data processor calculates a preliminary spectral information of the sample based on at least n of a latest detected signal and a BKG information retained in advance, calculates and updates the preliminary spectral information based on at least n of the latest detected signal and the BKG information again, and repeats these calculations and updates. The display shows the preliminary spectral information that is calculated and updated in the preview display. The data processor starts integration of N (N>n) of the detected signal during a preview display of the preliminary spectral information, and acquires a spectral information of the sample.

摘要: An optical instrument for spectroscopy applications includes a compact arrangement having a three-dimensional folded optical path. A plate configured as an optical reference plane is secured to a housing and is configured to secure optical components above or below the plate. A modular light source module may be secured within the housing without fasteners. A monochromator and spectrometer are secured below the plate. Mirrors disposed above the plate are configured to direct light from the monochromator passing through a first opening in the plate through a sample disposed above the plate, and to direct light from the sample through a second opening in the plate to the spectrometer. A controller is configured for communication with the monochromator and the spectrometer. The controller may control an entrance slit actuator for the spectrometer and positioning of an aperture upstream of the spectrometer to adjust resolution and throughput.

摘要: A colorimeter includes an integrating sphere, a light source, a light receiver and a low reflectance unit. The integrating sphere has a first aperture to be covered with a sample and a second aperture opposing the first aperture configured to allow reflected light from the sample to pass therethrough. The light source irradiates an inner wall of the integrating sphere with light. The light receiver receives, through the second aperture, the reflected light from a surface of the sample that enters the integrating sphere through the first aperture when the light from the light source is reflected by the inner wall, and is applied to the sample through the first aperture, and outputs a signal in accordance with the reflected light. The low reflectance unit is disposed around the light receiver to face an internal space of the integrating sphere, and has lower light reflectance than the inner wall.

摘要: A photoelectric conversion element is realized in which the movement direction of electrons in the element changes according to the wavelength of light to be converted. A photoelectric conversion unit includes an active layer on which light to be converted is incident, an intermediate layer that is arranged on the active layer on a side opposite to the side on which the light to be converted is incident, and a reflection layer that is arranged so as to oppose the active layer with the intermediate layer interposed therebetween. The active layer includes a plasmonic material, which is a material in which plasmon resonance occurs due to a reciprocal action with the light to be converted. The intermediate layer has both a semiconductor property and transparency with respect to the light to be converted. The reflection layer has reflectivity with respect to the light to be converted.

The range of overlap (65) causes attenuations in the propagation of light, which may be due to gas molecules or moisture (400). The attenuations in the propagation of light affect both detector elements (50, 60) and are compensated concerning the determination of the concentration.
