    摘要: A system and approach for developing a periodic water usage profile and demand for controlling a water heater. A mode may be selected for demand for a certain amount of water of a particular temperature range to be available for use from the water heater. Data on hot water usage may be collected and the usage profile and demand may be calculated from the data. The water heater may be programmed to operate in a certain fashion based on the usage profile and demand. A control knob may be on the water heater control to select a particular demand. Control of the water heater may be operated from a remote device connected in a wireless or wired fashion. An optimization program may be implemented in the control of the water heater for achieving one or more beneficial goals related to water heater performance and hot water production.

    摘要: A conversion unit for an air conditioning system to cause it to act like the cooling unit of a refrigeration system comprises a frost detector, an A/C temperature control defeating mechanism and a control unit which operate together to force the range of operation of the air conditioning unit into the range of operation of a refrigeration unit. The conversion unit is particularly useful for providing low cost cooling systems for farmers in third world countries for keeping their produce fresh and safe, not to mention its use by all farmers around the world and by florists or others in need or desire of an economical refrigeration alternative. The present invention is also usable to provide inexpensive cooling to RV's and to refrigerated vehicles.

    摘要: An electronically controlled thermostat is obtained enabling stable valve body actuation, preventing overshooting and hunting, and with a reduced overall device size and simplified construction. An electronically controlled thermostat 1 capable of arbitrary variable control of cooling water temperature comprises a thermo-element 4 having a piston which actuates the opening and closing within a housing of a first valve body 11 and a second valve body 18 to perform switching of the flow path of cooling water by sensing the cooling water temperature, and an element guide member 25 which holds the thermo-element within the above housing 10. A temperature-sensing chamber is provided, formed by isolation by the element guide member from the flow path in which cooling water on the radiator exit side flows; the temperature-sensing portion of the element 4 is disposed so as to face this nullchambernullvii. A linking hole 25a is provided as a heat transmission means to transmit the temperature of cooling water on the radiator exit side from within the flow path to the element temperature-sensing portion within the temperature-sensing chamber.
