Abstract:
Methods and system for transferring images between devices is disclosed. For example, differently scaled images by a host device may automatically and/or selectively be transferred to a media player for display. In turn, appropriately scaled images may be transferred automatically and/or selectively to another display device for example a TV, camera or printer. The selectivity may occur either at the host level or at the player level.
Abstract:
A document scanner comprises a scan bed, and a processor means which is adapted to: analyse a scanned image to detect one or more defined markings on the scanned document in addition to and adjacent the document content desired to be scanned by the user; and in response to detection of one or more defined markings, to control the document scanner in response to the defined markings.
Abstract:
Screen content from a first telecommunication device, such as a smartphone, is cast wirelessly and received by a second telecommunications device. The received screen content is formatted for presentation on the second telecommunications device. Screen content from among the received screen content may be selected for transmitting to a third telecommunications device. The selected screen content is transmitted to the third telecommunications device for presentation on a virtual screen of the third telcommunications device.
Abstract:
It is intended to provide a facsimile device and a program product for facsimile printing capable of surely making a user know receipt of an irregular e-mail such as an error mail or the like, without requiring extra volume of memory, while preventing waste of paper. When an e-mail is received, there is detected whether a printing mode is set or a not-printing mode is set for a body part of an e-mail in #2. Even though a not-printing mode is set for a body part of an e-mail (#2: No), the body part is printed in #8 in case the e-mail is not accompanied by an attached file of predetermined format (#5: No). Therefore, even if a not-printing mode is set, the facsimile device can make a user know receipts of irregular mails such as an error mail, an e-mail without an attached file of predetermined format, and rough causes of the irregular mails.
Abstract:
A method and portable electronic device for processing images are provided. Images are stored electronically at a remote server as attachments to message data, message data received at the portable electronic device with indicators identifying corresponding attachments to the message data. The portable electronic device comprises a processing unit interconnected with an input device, and a display device. First input data is received indicative that one of the indicators, corresponding to one of the images, has been selected, causing the image to be retrieved from the remote server. The received image is displayed at the display device. Second input data is received indicative that a next one of the images is to be displayed, the second input data received while the first retrieved images is displayed at the display device. The next images is then received from the remote server and processed to display it at the display device.
Abstract:
An integrated adapter and fax device using the integrated adapter are provided. The power supply converting unit and line interface unit, each of which has a first section and a second section that are isolated from each other, are configured separately in the integrated adapter. Thus, product liability and safety standards are fundamentally satisfied, material costs of an external case of the fax device can be reduced, the external case can be more freely designed, and a power supply line and telephone line can be easily connected by a modular jack.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for providing, sharing, storing and playing widgets and associated media content on a personal audiovisual device, such as a digital photo frame, are described. In one implementation, widgets may be selected by a user for rendering based on capabilities of a user's device, with the widgets then provided to the device for playback. Digital content such as audio files, images, and/or video may be rendered in conjunction with playback of the widget. Widgets may be shared between users so as to facilitate sharing of media content.
Abstract:
An image processing apparatus that records image data on a detachable storage medium in a previously set recording format is provided. The apparatus sets the recording format of image data, and determines whether or not a storage medium attached to an attachment unit has a communication function that communicates with a different apparatus than the image processing apparatus. If it is determined that the storage medium has a communication function, and that the recording format of image data that can be transferred by the communication function does not match the recording format that has been set, the apparatus issues a warning.
Abstract:
This disclosure details the implementation of a user interface for a portable, image-processing transmitter. The Transmitter's user interface comprises a compact and efficient forum for managing, manipulating, storing, and transmitting digital images of various formats across a wide array of transmission means and protocols. Embodiments of the Transmitter may be employed by photographers, photojournalists, and/or the like to rapidly process, edit, and send high-quality photographs or video to multiple news agencies, newspapers, magazines, television studios, websites, and/or the like while maintaining control over their photographs by allowing them to send reduced quality and watermarked proofs. The Transmitter may be configured via the user interface to allow users seeking to transmit large, high-resolution images to first generate and transmit low-resolution preview images, thereby saving on transmission time and resources. Full resolution versions of the images may then be transmitted as approvals of the preview versions are received.
Abstract:
Systems and methods of storing a message directed to a user and delivering the message from a network server to a user's client device provide for receiving the message and storing the message to an access-restricted user-specific message storage area. When an access request from an application program executing on the user's client device is received via a packet switched network in accordance with an Internet protocol, a determination is made whether to grant or deny the access request. If the request is granted, a link is provided to the user, wherein selection of the link causes the message to be transmitted to the application program via the packet switched network in accordance with the Internet protocol.
