    摘要: A solid surface comprises (i) from 45 to 80 volume fraction percent of polymethylmethacrylate or unsaturated polyester or a combination of both, (ii) from 25 to 55 volume fraction percent of inorganic filler particles distributed evenly throughout the solid surface, and (iii) from 0.75 to 8 volume fraction percent of a siloxane fluid, wherein, when the filler has a major dimension of from 30-50 micrometers, the siloxane has a molecular weight of from 40,000 to 150,000 or when the filler has a major dimension of from 10-15 micrometers, the siloxane has a molecular weight of from 25,000 to 100,000 or when or when the filler has a major dimension of from 1-10 micrometers, the siloxane has a molecular weight of from 5,000 to 100,000.

    摘要: Coatings for a substrate include a paint or a lacquer and about 0.1% or more particles of a bi-axially oriented metalized polymer film. The film may not be soluble in a solvent or a dispersion medium of the paint or the lacquer. Coatings may be formed by bi-axially orienting a polymer film to obtain a bi-axially oriented polymeric film having thickness of at least 1μ followed by a vacuum metalizing to obtain a bi-axially oriented metalized polymer film, shredding the bi-axially oriented metalized polymer film to form the particles to at least 1×1 mm, selecting a solvent as system or a dispersion medium of paint in which the particles of the polymer film is not substantially soluble, preparing a paint or a coating composition by using selected solvent, and dispersing the shredded particles of oriented metalized polymer film in the paint as a primer, under coat, or top coat.

    摘要: An anti-corrosive coating compound with: component I: cathodically active metal particles and component II: binder in the presence of water. In order to improve the service life of the coating compound, it is provided that an oxygen compound or a mixture of oxygen compounds of the subgroup elements, namely ammonium, alkaline or earth alkaline salts of an acid of a transition metal, is added as component III. The invention further relates to a method for producing an anti-corrosive coating compound, a workpiece coated with the anti-corrosive coating compound and the use of an oxygen compound or a mixture of oxygen compounds of the subgroup elements in an anti-corrosive coating compound.

    摘要: A coating, a coated turbine component, and a coating process are disclosed. The coating includes an epoxy-polyamide structure formed from a coating composition comprising a phenolic resin and a curing agent, the phenolic resin comprising a bisphenol F constituent and an epichlorohydrin constituent. The coating composition is solvent-free or substantially solvent-free. The cured coating is cross-linked from curing below 120° C., from curing using infrared-microwave radiation, or a combination thereof. The coated turbine component includes a surface and the coating. The coating process includes applying the coating and curing the coating.
