摘要: A switched mode power supply includes an active clamp flyback converter having an input for receiving an input voltage, and an output for providing a regulated voltage, the active clamp flyback converter having a first switch for controlling a flow of current through a primary winding of a flyback transformer, and a second switch for clamping a switch node on a primary side of the flyback transformer, and a controller for controlling the first and second switches to operate the active clamp flyback converter in an active clamp flyback mode when a load current is above a first predetermined level, and for controlling the first and second switches to operate the active clamp flyback converter in a discontinuous conduction mode with a variable switching frequency when the load current is below a second predetermined level.

An embodiment of the voltage reference buffer circuit includes: a first bias generator configured to generate a first bias voltage; a second bias generator configured to generate a second bias voltage different from the first bias voltage; a first driving component coupled to a high voltage terminal, the first bias generator and a reference voltage output terminal, and configured to control a reference voltage at the reference voltage output terminal according to the first bias voltage; and a second driving component coupled to the reference voltage output terminal, the second bias generator and a low voltage terminal, and configured to control a current between the reference voltage output terminal and the second driving component according to the second bias voltage.

摘要: In various examples, a converter unit for converting an input voltage to an output voltage is disclosed. The converter includes input terminals for connecting the converter unit to a voltage supply and for receiving the input voltage from the voltage supply and output terminals for connecting the converter unit to a load for driving the load. A controllable switch is connected to an inductor. The converter unit further includes a current detector for detecting a current of the inductor, a voltage slope detector for detecting a slope of a voltage measured across the controllable switch, and a control unit for controlling the controllable switch on the basis of the inductor current and the voltage slope.

摘要: A voltage regulator generates an output voltage that is a designed voltage level below the supply voltage. A reference voltage generator generates a reference voltage between ground and supply voltages. A voltage divider generates a feedback voltage between the supply and output voltages. An amplifier generates an amplifier output voltage based on a difference between the reference and feedback voltages. A buffer buffers the amplifier output voltage. A pass transistor receives the buffered voltage at its control node to sink an average load current appearing at the output node. A capacitor is connected between the supply and output voltages to provide a peak load current. A load-current-detecting transistor receives the buffered voltage at its control node to sense the load current. A compensation transistor compensates for leakage current. An internal load converts the sensed load current into a voltage control signal applied to the compensation transistor.

摘要: A constant-voltage circuit having an overcurrent protection circuit which includes: a first sense transistor, one main terminal connected to an input terminal of the constant-voltage circuit and a control terminal connected to a control terminal of an output transistor generates a current corresponding to an output current from the output transistor; a voltage level adjusting circuit configured to generate a voltage corresponding to a voltage of a main terminal of the output transistor at an output terminal side of the constant-voltage circuit by extracting a current that is not affected by a change in the output current from the output transistor, and adjust a voltage of another main terminal of the first sense transistor such that the adjusted voltage becomes equal to the generated voltage; and a protection circuit to control a control voltage applied from an error amplifier to the control terminal of the output transistor.

摘要: A wide input voltage power supply circuit for a load includes a first stage and a second stage. The first stage includes a linear regulator circuit configured to maintain an output voltage at a predetermined output voltage level. The linear regulator includes an input for shutting the linear regulator off when an input voltage exceeds a predetermined shut off threshold. The second stage includes a high voltage detection circuit coupled to the input of the linear regulator. The high voltage detection circuit is configured to detect the level of the input voltage and to shut the linear regulator off when the input voltage exceeds the predetermined shut off threshold. An under voltage lockout circuit may be included, the under voltage lockout circuit configured to set a minimum turn-on voltage for the load.
