Abstract: A method for mapping remaining hydrocarbon resources in a subsurface reservoir, includes obtaining a map of seismic amplitude difference over a time period based on a survey of the subsurface reservoir, generating an expected trend dataset for the reservoir based on one or more non-water saturation effects detected over the time period by one or more wellbore surveillance techniques at one or more locations in the reservoir, correcting the map of seismic amplitude difference, at least in part, on the expected trend dataset to generate a corrected seismic amplitude map, and using the corrected seismic amplitude difference map to generate a map representative of remaining hydrocarbon resources in the reservoir. Embodiments include a system for performing the method and a medium containing computer executable software instructions for performing the method.

Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method for integrating power distribution for subsea boosting and direct electrical heating (DEH) of at least one subsea flowline. A subsea power cable located in a subsea environment is electrically connected to at least one power generator at a topsides location and delivers power to a subsea switchgear module which connects to subsea adjustable speed drives (ASD). At least one pump motor is electrically connected to at least one of the ASD, and at least one capacitor bank is electrically connected to at least one of the subsea ASD. A subsea pressure boosting pump is driven by the pump motor. At least one capacitor bank is electrically connected to at least one of the subsea ASD. At least one DEH is electrically connected to at least one of the subsea ASD in series with the at least one capacitor bank and in contact with the at least one subsea flowline. Power is distributed to the boosting and DEH equipment more efficiently and cost effectively.

Abstract: One method as described herein relates to making a membrane comprising an uncrosslinked high molecular weight, monoesterified polyimide polymer with a small amount of bulky diamine. These uncrosslinked high molecular weight, monoesterified polyimide polymers with a small amount of bulky diamine are useful in forming polymer membranes with high permeance and good selectivity that are useful for the separation of fluid mixtures. Also as described herein is a hollow fiber polymer membrane comprising an uncrosslinked high molecular weight, monoesterified polyimide polymer with a small amount of bulky diamine. The small amount of bulky diamine allows for formation of a membrane comprising the uncrosslinked polymer that exhibits high permeance and good selectivity.

The method computes weighting functions for a plurality of single-shot migrated images, unstacked seismic images, or partially stacked seismic images based on a slant stack performed using an input dip dataset; applying the plurality of weighting functions to the plurality of single-shot migrated images, unstacked seismic images, or partially stacked seismic images, or a plurality of dip-filtered images to create a plurality of weighted images; and summing the plurality of weighted images into a stacked seismic image. The method may be executed by a computer system.
