摘要: A camera lens positioning device is provided that comprises a housing, a camera lens supporting member provided in the housing such that it can move in a direction away from a subject and a direction toward the subject, a member which applies force to the lens supporting member in either the direction away from the subject or the direction toward the subject, a first shape memory alloy which can move the lens supporting member in the direction opposite to the direction in which the force applying member applies force by applying force to the lens supporting member in the opposite direction, and a second shape memory alloy which can move a stopping member in the relationship with the lens supporting member. The device can stop the lens supporting member between a first position away from the subject and a second position close to the subject by use of the stopping member. By use of this device, positioning of a camera lens with required accuracy can be provided at low cost, with low electric power and a simple structure and in a small space.

摘要: An air conditioner and a power line communication system high in reliability and free of malfunction facilitates the installation work such as the wiring. The air conditioner for conducting communication through a power line includes a bridge unit connected to at least an outdoor unit through a transmission line, and at least an indoor unit connected from the power line through a blocking filter. A side of the bridge unit far from the outdoor unit is connected between the blocking filter and the indoor unit. The bridge unit subjects a signal from the outdoor unit to spread spectrum modulation and transmits it by superposing the resulting signal on the power line. The superposed signal is received and demodulated by the indoor unit.

摘要: A service system for air conditioners is provided which offers a total solution to a wide range of fields, from the customer relationship management covering individual users, building owners and administrators and building management companies to the maintenance and management, manufacture, design, and development on the part of the manufacturer. The service system includes the monitoring center 1 which has the customer database 207, the operation information database 206 for storing operation information of the air conditioners 101 for each customer, and the device information database 203 having device information on the air conditioners 101 related with each customer of the customer database 207. When it decides that there is anomaly in the operation information, the monitoring center 1 sends to the cellular phone 406 over the Internet 306 the information representing the content of the anomaly and the customer information and device information associated with the operation information which was judged abnormal.

摘要: A method for manufacturing a filter utilizing a porous ceramic membrane as a separation film is provided, comprising the steps of substituting the air inside fine-pores of the porous substrate with a liquid, isolating the porous substrate face to be provided with a separation film, the other face of the porous substrate face not provided with the separation film, continuously feeding a film deposition slurry containing ceramic framework particles to allow the slurry to contact the face of the porous substrate to be provided with the separation film, applying a differential filtration pressure between the faces of the porous substrate, and depositing the slurry on the surface of the porous substrate. An organic polymer for endowing the deposition film with filtration resistance is added to the slurry.

摘要: A lighting device includes a reflector, and a lens attached to a front open portion of the reflector. Cantilever-type elastic legs are formed on those portions of the lens respectively opposed to engagement holes in the reflector, and extend in a direction of the circumference of the lens. Engagement projections, for engagement in respective engagement holes, are formed at respective distal end portions of the elastic legs. When the lens is formed into a thin design, the length of the elastic legs in the circumferential direction is not limited, and each elastic leg can have a length sufficient to enable it to be elastically deformed so as to fit the engagement projection into the engagement hole. Therefore, the engagement projection can be positively and easily engaged in the engagement hole. Even if one tried to forcibly engage the engagement projection in the engagement hole, the elastic leg will not break.

摘要: An n-type wafer is provided having a crystal axis in which the resistivity distribution in the surface of the wafer is uniform. The wafer is suitable for use in, e.g., a zener diode. A method is provided for growing a single crystal of n-type silicon doped with a group V element such as phosphorus using the Czochralski method or the floating zone melting (FZ) method wherein the center axis of the silicon single crystal is tilted by a tilt angle of 1-6 degrees from the crystal axis. The silicon single crystal is sliced obliquely at the angle corresponding to the tilt angle to yield an n-type wafer having a crystal axis.
